transcript of President Bush's comments regarding the day of the attacks on the World Trade Towers.

QUESTION: One thing, Mr. President, is that you have no idea how much you've done for this country, and another thing is that how did you feel when you heard about the terrorist attack?

BUSH: Well... (APPLAUSE)

Thank you, Jordan (ph).

Well, Jordan (ph), you're not going to believe what state I was in when I heard about the terrorist attack. I was in Florida. And my chief of staff, Andy Card -- actually I was in a classroom talking about a reading program that works. And I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower -- the TV was obviously on, and I use to fly myself, and I said, "There's one terrible pilot." And I said, "It must have been a horrible accident."

But I was whisked off there -- I didn't have much time to think about it, and I was sitting in the classroom, and Andy Card, my chief who was sitting over here walked in and said, "A second plane has hit the tower. America's under attack."

There is a problem with the above statement. There was no live video coverage of the first plane hitting the tower. There couldn't be. Video of that first plane hitting the tower did not surface until AFTER the second plane had hit.

Bush is lying through his teeth here.

Even though Bush is not a very good pilot (he was taken off of flight status for failure to take a medical exam which included a drug test), it would be silly to assume that a passenger jet hitting the WTC in clear weather was pilot error. The only other known impact between an aircraft and a New York skyscraper was when a military airplane crashed into the Empire State Building in a heavy fog. Because of that incident, there are mandatory altitude minimums over the island. If Bush really did see an airplane on TV hitting the World Trade Towers, then he saw that the aircraft was under control at the time.

And, it must be remembered that even after andy informed Bush of the second impact, and by his own admission Bush knew we were being attacked, he continued to read to the classroom full of children.

Just think about that for a while.

And Bush promised 100,000 new positions in the labor force by the end of 2003..what did we end up with...1000....wow 1%, great job. BUt again thats not his fault its his cabinet right. And jusst so you know, unemployment rates almost reached an alltime high during his encumbency, but thats 911's fault right.

Bush has done virtually Nothing to help this countrys well being. Everything he has done has been in terms of outside affairs. Music classes in schools have been almost whiped out across the united states, but yet its all good to spend 80 billion on a war. Now im not saying the war was good/bad, thats for you to decide. What im saying is how is it possible that we are able to pull 80 billion out of our countrys ass (or go into debt for that much) when war is necessary (which yes maybe it was) but when we have a good 10% of our country homeless the big whigs cant get together and figure out how to help that situation? I mean -we are willing to go into debt for war but not our own people?

but thats his cabinets fault.

I know absolutely nothing politics wise, but I feel that George Bush is doing a very good job as President... Everyone keeps talking about how he took us to war with Iraq for no reason. There was a reason, the american public wanted it... Maybe we don't now, but when this was first an issue, I remember the vast majority of Americans were all for going to iraq. All of you disgust me, It's not his fault that america changed its views on the war, he was doing what he was elected to do. What america wanted. You act like those soldiers in Iraq don't want to be over there right now, I guaruntee you, that at least 90% of them are proud as fuck to be fighting Bushs war. I am.

I would never call you an idiot for wanting to understand something. I am glad that alka trackz cleared that up for you. Basicaly that is the lable for the left and right, butit's much more in deepth and complex than that. I can give you antoher way to look at it as it aplies to humanity today.

The left belive humans are basically good and society is to blame for the evil that men do. Now they think issue's such as global warming and others along those lines are the biggest threat to our way of life today.


I my self do not agree with the left on a good number of issue's such as human evil. I think it's responsible to admit we are wrong and not find ways to blame society. We must have accountablity for our actions. The left feel if a person wants to be immoral it is societies fault for not understanding and catering to such a persons needs.

I hope that adds a little clearity to the issue for you. By no means would I ever considering someone an idiot for asking a question or wanting to understand things in better detail. It's only those who make outlandish statements backed up with nonsense, and then again it would take a comment in my direction, before I fire off. I do respect everyone's views, it's just hard to read in accurate accounts and misleading information.
