more like the 80's than the 90's..you will get an animal's head and plant little grass seeds..and over time if you take care of it the grass will grow representing the animal's fur..or they had looney toons that will represent characteristics of them..but anyway..

it all depends on your age really..if you're 10 and younger..draw her a picture with a heart and an arrow going threw it..
if you're 11-13 buy her some candy and kiss her for the first time..
if you're 14-15 buy some ballons, teddy bear..some fake roses(thats what I did) if you're 16-17 buy her errr..take her to the movies..and then make love:0..if you're 18-20..then take her out to a fancy place to eat..something of ethnic..like a meditterean(<--something like that) place..and if you're over 21 then..you can do all of that to make it perfect..buy her some ballons,teddy bear, some REAL roses, take her to the movies then some place to eat..and then go home and make love..but if you're married you got to do allof that stuff, and buy some jewelry...

anti-valentines day... its a way to commercialize love and its sentiment... why chose that day to say i love you or show appreciation to the one you feel for? shouldn't that be everyday?

anyhow... i've never gotten a valentines gift really, except those cute little valentines cards that you get in grade school (those are so cute)... but the sweetest and most meaningful gifts i received, were those that came heartfelt... a good friend of mine bought me and named a star after me... thats real cheap.. you got the coordinates of your star and a certificate stating the name and history... a website album/story of pics and dedication (like geocities) was made about "us"... homemade gifts or things involving time are nice... i guess if you put effort into any gift no matter the value its priceless... i'd rather get a macaroni picture frame than a box of candy and roses. how much effort goes into buying flowers? now picking flowers from peoples garden... show you spent time trying to find as many different, beautiful flowers as you can and taking the risk of being indicted for trespassing...

I do it for the fun of it.

I always show my appreciation of her, and tell her I love her all the time, but on Valentines day, a day I think may, yes be overdone and commercialized, but going all out on that day makes her smile. So I do it.
