Maybe not..
But when you come to think about it... he musta worked a hell of a lot harder to get where he is now being white..
From street corners, to radio spots etc.. Once Dre signed him.. thats when the white issue carried him even further maybe..
But til then.. I'd say he worked harder than most, and deserved it.

You do realize its all basically an act?
I mean 80% of the rappers now a days must've had a rotten childhood..
Yet M&M is the only rapper to speak out about it..
& not because he 'expresses' himself.. but because it scores..
I mean how many times we've heared him say he is going to kill his mom now?
Just do it already jeez..
But what i dont like about him as a person.. not as a artist..
Is that he is obviously a wigger or w/e u want to call those ppl..
But get's glory for it..
Yet ppl like Young P get crushed.
It's all so unfair lol..
& bout M&M workin hard?.. gettin laughed at is not workin hard..
Thats gettin what u so fairly deserve.

Man... you're dumb..

By working hard, I don't mean be bullied in his younger days.
I mean being recognized and working his way up thru hip hops levels whilst being white, whilst being underestimated and dismissed. Esp. as Vanilla Ice was the last damn white guy to rap more or less, creating the white is wack stereotype..

Well i did agree he worked hard on that point didnt i?
But i dont agree with he has worked harder then no other..
I still say he's nothin special...
The only reason he stands out is because the current state of hip hop is expierincin a all time low.

Rakim, Kanye West, Dr Dre are all dropping albums 2004....Nas and Jay just released what, 2 albums int he last year and a half, outkast just sold about 8 million copies of their cd, shall i continue?

Hip-Hop is not experiencing an alltime low buddy, look around, notice the award shows, notice commercials, notice who is getting noticed, ill tell you one thing, Sure as hell aint fred durst.

Actually that 'learn Chineese' shit aint even selling, when u do a single there are 2 factors u judge it on

Commercial and Critical Success

That song has neither, shit barely makes it on RapCity and they have 2 hours to fill of nothing but RAP songs.

Everyone is a legitimate contender ..That’s my take on it.
They could bring a knew style and flavor to the Hip Hop culture
Just don’t ever forget who were the originators

It isnt a gimmick....just because Asian Rappers are becoming noticed a little at a time doesnt mean its a new trend either. Its just like Dizzy Rascal the dude from England, what is he the first rapper from Britain to go minor big?? Once people that are there own race/nationality go big makes you feel like your thoughts of someone never doing it happens. Then you wanna do it so your culture grows bigger and bigger in that topic. Like soccer in America, its a new sport but it has been played in different countries for a long time. Just like rap with Asian or Latins or Nordics or something, it is new. If anyone wants to debate, I am willing to. Have a nice day...lol.

A define a gimmick in hip-hop as (and you dont have to agree with me, I dont care): an emcee who SELLS or IS SUCCESSFUL based PURELY on his or her "STAND OUT IMAGE", but has NO actual SKILLS.

Since Jin is quite a dope freestyler, and is above average in battles - I dont consider him a gimmick. I bob my head to some of his songs, and he comes of very dope in freestyles. Same goes for Eminem - lyrically dope, interesting, good delivery.

A gimmick would be:

Nelly - no skills, just attractive to women and has a weird voice.
Chingy - no skills, just invents slang words which sells.
Bizarre - no skills, just says lots of explicit stuff so kids will buy it.
Vanilla Ice - no skills, could pass for a regular bling bling rapper - but sells higher than most cos of his colour.

Notice how each "gimmick" started with "no skills"? You get the point now.

BTW, Asian Rappers? The Chosen One is dope as fuck.
