Have you ever been in or seen a riot? They don't stop until police/soldiers start getting violent. People go head to head with hundreds of cops over sports games. What do you imagine they would do in a life or death situation such as the one in N.O.?

After they gave food out I guarentee you people would be killed for the food and supplies wether the troops were there or not. And if they were there they'd just shoot them too right? More dead people. Probably some U.S. soldiers or police would be killed aswell. In my opinion it has basically already turned into a civil war in N.O. wether the riots have stopped now or not. Sending troops in there would only make it worse.
