Not that I have a view on the Bible's take on homosexuality, but to be correct, your bible states that your "God" burned two entire cities and everyone in them alive and turned sympathisers into "pillars of salt". These cities were Sodom and Gamorah, populated by homosexuals and "the wicked". As a matter of fact, all of Genesis 18 and 19 discusses your "God's" disposition vehemently against homosexuality as does huge portions of Leviticus just to name a few. I don't know where you got this "2-3 scriptures" that you claim, seeing that the bible speaks against homosexuality no less than 100 times. Here's a few "quotables" from your Bible:

Genesis 13:13 Now the men of Sodom were wicked and were sinning greatly against the LORD.

Leviticus 20:13 " 'If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.


Genesis 19:3 But he insisted so strongly that they did go with him and entered his house. He prepared a meal for them (the two Angels sent to destroy the cities of Sodom and Gamorah), baking bread without yeast, and they ate. 4 Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. 5 They called to Lot, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? The "Bible" justifies to it self and it's readers everything from gay bashing, to murder, to torture, human and animal sacrifice, barbarianism, cannibalism, taking, owning and selling slaves, supremacy, incest, and even wife beating and female inferiority.

And this is the book you're holding on to for your salvation? The same book that says it's okay to take your life?

It's cool, I understand the curiosity. I used to be an adamant catholic in my teenage years, but then I actually read the Bible cover to cover and thats when things changed. The more you know of the "whole story", the less things add up and you find your self saying "wow, so if this is true..that would mean that was false??" - and both of these things are within the bible. As fractions and short-sight they seem like a functional idoligy, but in totality, they're disjointed and conflicting.

To aide our grasp for information I'll try to frame the following statement in a context that we're all used to: The only works that I've seen that contains whole truths are the gilgamesh epics and the enuma elish - both of which are over 10,000 years older than even the Bible and other story books similar to it. Neither the giglamesh epics nor the enuma elish say or imply "this is how you should live your life" and "do this but not that". They're both objective accounts of history from the first civilizations on the planet and tie EVERYTHING (and I mean EVERYTHING!) together. For the first time in my life, everything made perfect sense. These are the works that you will find all these Religious Story Books take their concepts from and twist in their own perspective and label it as their people's "story of creation". Even the word "god", "God" and "GOD" all come from these scrolls and is actually an acroynm of three words.

I guess this is the closest way I can squeeze what I know into the concept of "a person and their beliefs" into a digestable 'statement for the masses' though it is actually the exact opposite of that.
