^no hate to anyone, but f'real. L.I. was the first one to use wordplay constantly on RV. RV used to be all about using personals as punches and that's what the big thing is. or just using meta's as punches. but L.I. was among the first, if not the first, to use more wit and wordplay in his verses. Also then I remember Soc, when HE started using it. he made a thread like "I know how L.I. must feel and why more of the better heads leave this site. Because none of the voters even get the wordplay" and etc.

also I remember L.I. started the link shit, and after he did it, EVERYONE started using it as well. so I mean, no offense to everyone but what he's saying is true for most part. I don't think he's claimin' he the best, but he was the first one, if i'm not mistaken. i'd like to see proof if anyone did it before him

Correction, L.I. was the first to use FORCED wordplay. I've looked over his past battles and witnessed it for myself. And who uses FORCED wordplay now... FUCKING HERBS. And as far as links go... who gives a fuck if he was the first to use them... does anybody use them anymore? NO!!

I'll be nice and say that he paved the way for average battlers back in early '05... but fuck, the level of text on this site is way past that now and he had nothing to do with it. So, he needs to stop trying to take credit for other people's work.

even if you think it's forced, he was still the first person to even attempt it on RV. Him and few other of the top heads then al lused to drop wordplay, he never said he was the best, but he was first to use it no doubt. but after the top heads started introducing wordplay, more and more, and now to this day, wordplay is a normal thing to see in every above avg text head's verse. I don't know how you could even argue that. But with the links, basically what I'm saying is, many people followed what he brought. that's impact on a site.

and no where was he takin' credit for it, he just stated that he was first to bring it to site. which he absoloutely was. whether it was good or not, isn't the point. him, and then the other top heads at time who saw success, socrates being one, started using wordplay and then more of RV started using it.

You act like he was the first dude to use wordplay ever or something. He probably just went on another site and saw some dude doing it and thought it looked cool. And YES, he fucking did say that it was because of him that the site is where its at text wise now.

And if you want to back him up go ahead... I couldn't care less about this matter anymore. The bottom line is, L.I. is sore because I didn't vote him in as a Legend. And the truth of the matter is, he may have been dope in his day.. but his day has long since gone and he is ok, sometimes better than ok now... but he is a long way away from being at the level a lot of people on this site are at now.

He seriously needs to grow the fuck up.
