Dude, you act like we got a pump under the country suckin out all the oil. The reason that oil and gas prices are so high is because our dollar sucks ass. We're paying the same exact price we were paying for it.....in their currency. In our currency it seems like we're paying more.

When I was stationed in Germany back in 2000, they were using the DM as currency. The ratio was 2 DM = $1 but now that they switched to the Euro, the Euro beasts the dollar so everything got more expensive and shit.

no, the Euro simply has more weight than tha U.S. currencey becuase its goign against like 17 countries. Its like 1 vs 17. Who do you think should be winning? I was looking into going into something with communications. I had heard a lot about it and the recruiter said they fix the computers and make sure that the information is transported to the troops so they can do their missions. I heard that you go through Basic and then you take a class on what ever your job is going to be. Or go to a school. I'm not sure it doesn't sound to bad. And just to get the discipline and the toughness out of it is what I need.

That sounds about right. The MOS should be 25 something......like 25L or 25U or something like that. Find out what the actual MOS is and look it up on www.goarmy.com to find out exactly what its all about. I'm a career counselor now, so I can look up some other things about the MOS for you too, like how long the school for it is or even where the school will be. Basic Training could be in a number of places like Fort Jackson, SC (where I went), Fort Sill, OK, Fort Knox, KY or even Fort Benning, GA. But yeah, hit me up with what the actual MOS is that you're getting into and I'll give you some information on it like what the promotion rates are and reenlistment bonuses and such. You should also ask about an enlistment bonus, but I don't know too much about those.


You have some college under your belt too, don't you? If you do, you can come in at a higher rank......it all depends on how much you have.

Aight man, I talked to a guy today who was a 25U Signal Support System Specialist or something like that. He told me that 25Cs do more maintenance on radios and such than anything else. He said if you wanted to get into that field you should try and get 25U because they do a little bit of everything that the rest of the 25 series MOSs do. He also said that promotions come easier to 25Us since they do a little of everything in their field. What they do in my unit is issue, maintain and repair electronic and automation equipment such as computers and printers and stuff like that. I don't have any 25Cs in my whole Battalion, but I have like 10-15 25Us.
