I will say this, however...
There's a difference between being attracted to something and willfully engaging in sexual acts. And, there are many things that are "natural" that aren't necessarily "morally" correct, according to the bible. It's not being a hypocrite to say, "I'm a Christian even though I am sometimes tempted to do THIS or THAT." If that was the case, everyone who claims to be a Christian could be deemed a hypocrite because everyone sins. The bible says gay sex is wrong. The bible also says lying is wrong, stealing, FORNICATING (sex before marriage), adultery, murder, etc. Everyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior struggle with one sin or the other. That doesn't make them a hypocrite so long as they recognize they have a need for God to keep them, and ultimately deliver them. There is no condemnation to those who are in Christ who truly seek to live for him. But, does that mean Christians can/should sin purposely so God can keep forgiving them? The bible gives an emphatic NO to that question. I am a child of God and recognize I have a need for God..

There are exceptions though...King Solomon says in the book of Proverbs that you should not attempt to rebuke (educate) a fool, simply because they'll scoff at you and mock you. Jesus also mentioned something similar to this in Matthews where he said, "Don't give that which is holy to the dogs." I think discretion should be used whenever ministering though. I could argue that Mimesis is the object to which those scriptures were referring. However, I can see some validity in his point. Now, he just needs to open his mind and realize things aren't always as they seem and that things aren't always black and white.
