hip hop is the genra that rap was originated.. a place where the black community can feel welcome to finally call something of our own.. wat we make it is how it will become.. now a dayz its too much about fad and not about real rhyming.. if there were more busta rhymers and Cannibuses who knows wat kinda futuristic prodigical ass rapper cassidy would have turned out to b.. or juelz, or lil wayne.. they are rappers.. they are not emcees.. they COULD HAVE BEEN, that woulda been the shyt.. but they not.. just real good rappers. if hip hop today was full of emcees like back in the days hip hop wouldnt never b even almost even thought bein called "dead".. specially by one of the best emcees in the biz.. more than likely it would have been call "the shit" u kno?

i don't think it's fair to call hip hop a culture...it's like the pit bull...a pure bred pitbull doesn't make sense.because pitbull isn't an actual breed by definition..it's a combination of breeds, people choose to mix..for whatever reasons they have...there is no definitive way to describe hip hop on a factual level..personal level..of course....but the fact is...the way you talk, walk, dress, or live..doesn't make you hip hop..or not hip hop...i think whats more important than anything in any "culture" if thats what you want to call it, is your belief in it's ability, and how you live to better it.....it's like religion..going to church and reading the bible and doing good deeds for personal gain isn't going to get you to heaven...assuming you believe in that...it's what you actually believe..and how you follow up with those beliefs
