Actually...I understand what I Noc means...But, he's mistaken in this case...

Example...Let's say a Black woman works in "corporate" America and has a white boss. This black woman dresses in Kinte Cloth and rocks dred-locks. So, the boss calls her in and says "I think a more "traditional" business look is appropriate. She could argue he's being CULTURALLY insensitive, if not racist.

So...this is a very delicate issue I-NOC...I don't think this is racist. I get the impression they're trying to send a message to the younger kids who dream of being in the NBA that it's about talent and not bling.

o sup dawg

i was bout to asl A/S/L...so I cud cyber

eeeeeeeeer SIKE...

but yea...let's say this was racist...Something else that bothers me is how people deny the incidence of ANYTHING racial? I'm like, "exactly when is something ever racially motivated then?" That's the problem with racism in my opinion. It's subtle in so many ways. Back in the 1950s and 60s, they would literally spit in a black man's face. Today, they do it by denying him credit or erecting other economic barriers they know minorities will have a tough time overcoming. It's a game they force us all to play with out giving us the rules or instructions. It's up to the individual to figure it all out.

Umm, well if you're saying that they "have it easy"

they worked their whole fucking lives for this, completely dedicated, I dont think professional athletes have it easy at all.... you know how hard it is to get to the NBA? They deserve some respect. And to not be treated like some schoolgirl in a uniform.... their uniform is the jersey they put on at game time, thats it.

yes, I actually wrote an editorial about this for our newspaper

If they dont deserve the money, then WHO does?
What people dont understand is that nobody sits back and decides how much to pay these guys, people buy tickets to the games, buy merchandise, and that decides a player's paycheck. They bring in the fans, and it definitely shouldnt be sitting in the GM's pockets.....

ok, there good at wut they do
but look at basketball in general
theyre not doin nethin to help ne1 by playin basketball
in a way, ne1 wit a "real" job does more than they do
as 4 who deserves the money...
u kno how many lives cud be saved if ONE high-payed player (10mil+) donated ONE year's salary to a poor country
hate to use the cliche "in india people are dying", but its true
10 mill (thats 1 yr of bball, 1 player, not includin sponsorships, etc) cud be distributed as $10,000 for 1000 different people. u kno how much suttin that little to a bball player cud affect people's lives?
n wit all of american sports, all of the overpayed athletes, u kno how much money that is?
sports is a MULTIBILLION dollar industry
is entertaining americans that much more important then savin people's lives who are livin in hell just for bein born in the wrong place?

right, but the fact is PEOPLE provide them with that income, so if you've ever been to a professional sports event then you are a hypocrite if you also believe they get payed too much.......

but about the donating salary, thats a personal choice
its up to them what they do with they money that they've worked for

thats a moral issue with individuals, nothing to do with the league
the league cant just take their money and be like "nah sorry, you're not getting payed this year, people are starving in india"
