some of the most successful black people in the world have come from some of the most adverse ciscumstances you can imagine...Maya angelous was raped when she was younger and I believe she was also a prostitute at a point...Oprah was poor as hell, and raped when she was younger...she's down in history as the 1st self-made black female BILLionaire...don't ever say you "can't" do this because of one reason or another, if you want it, you'll work for it...yes, some white people get handed kushy jobs and don't have to work their way up a company cuz someone in their family owns some shit but black people that own shit do the SAME thing...nothing is impossible and when you don't succeed it's always easier to blame someone else and you're circumstances aren't always your fault but you gotta fight to get what and where you want in life...when you get lemons, you make lemonade...would people really appreciate shit if they didn't have to work for it? no...they'd let go and wouldn't care because they wouldn't appreciate shit...you think if Oprah grew up rich and never worked to get where she is, that she'd make life better for other people in bad situations and help them, you think she'd wake up and pray thanking GOD everyday for what he's allowed her to accomplish? HELL NO...I've never once heard her say that the way some white people are prevented her from doing or becoming what she wanted...if you don't succeed, it IS your fault

everyone is judged from the time they are born and beyond..nah scratch that, from BEFORE they're born...you are 1st judged by your race cuz your parents are already here, but as an individual you are first judged on your gender...that's the first category you are put into and judged from there...EVERYONE is judged, not just people from a certain class or race

being a hard worker doesn't guaruntee that you'll be rich abut being black doesn't guaruntee that all white people will try and hold you down either...everyone has their own circumstances and situations that are different, nothing is concrete, it's all subjective because each person is different

my mother has been a single parent with no help from me and my brother's father, since I was 12 years old, I'm 23 now...we lived in the projects when we were in New York when we had both our parents when we were a lot younger, but since we've been here in Houston, I haven't ever even been TO the 'hood...as a single parent she's on a higher level than some people I know with both parents readily available to them, living under the same roof...if you have your priorities right you can't ever tell me that you won't be successful...she's done some college, but doesn't have a degree, she's stuck in a job that's prolly dead end, been doing the same job for 11 years, but in that time she's bought a house...it's not easy, she has to juggle and pay bills late and shit...we were on the verge of losing the house if her payment was even like ONe day late

but as a SINGLE parent she bought a house, that's more than a lot of people I know living with both parents that been living in the 'hood all their life or renting a house from someone else...you can't tell me that "white people" are holding down every person in the 'hood from getting to the level of buying a house and shit like that...and I mention buying a house because that's an example of something a lot of people strive to do, own a home

so like I said, if you work hard enough for something, you'll get it...doesn't have to be anything major, but something...you're never gonna get everything you want, no matter what race you are, but don't blame it on another race
