I recently downloaded various vst plug-ins

but they didn't work when i clicked on them
they were registered as a dll file and it would
ask me what i wanted to open it with....

can anyone help??

u need a program like Acid, Cubase, FLStudio, etc to open them with. i suggest u read the tutorials about vst in the sticky thread

yeah, get up on one of those programs, and then u put the .dll in a specifed folder (i think they gotta be in a certain sub folder for most progs if they are vst's).... for direct x they can be wherever and the prog should scan the computer and pick em up
