Aight I'm just wondering the set up on this board cause to me ya'll write some short ass lines. Even in the regular writtens section. Most of the other boards I've been on people use longer shit for text, since text battles are about how you use words. I feel like the first thing I'm bout to drop is going to be double the norm in length on here. Like here's an average line for me:

Could it be because the longer lines make it harder to read? I can probably think of a way to make it not wrap if it is something people would be interested in.

I believe there is this thing to take into consideration, which many people don't, called flow.
To be absolutely fair, that line you dropped was quite a mouthful to say the least. Now, I don't know how everyone else here does their battles, but when I write lines to anything I go into accordance of the drum beat. But... there are rappers out there who can in fact take a mouthful and then some, and put it into a bar. So, to each their own. But if you're not able to actually rap that line in a verse that's that incredibly long, then write 'em. |
