Battles up Monday - Check In by Wednesday - Drop by Friday - Votes by Sunday
No line limit and the battler with most votes by Sunday night is the winner. If this is a topical battle, write a topical and not a poetic drop and the same is vice a versa. All Battlers must vote on 4 other battles and leave their voting links in their battle thread. Battles voted on may be from either poetry or topical battles. If vote threads aren't in your poetry battle thread by sunday you will suffer a loss by Disqualification. Extensions must be asked for by Thursday night by pming any of the mods (Acuity, Drama Queen & Elementality). No extensions will be given 4 if asked 4 on Friday night. Extensions are only given till Sunday night at the most. If you dont ask for an extention, and drop whenever you feel like it you will be Disqualified. Do not abuse extentions, they are not to be used if you're just too lazy to drop within the confines of the circumstances. Leave reasonable explanation for your absense. If the League notices you are a slacker due to this nature you will be banned for being out-right slothfully callous. Every battler must nominate (not their own) one topical and poetry battle for pieces of the week, in the main forum . People with pieces of the week shall have their drops stickied and placed in the Pieces Of Inspiration sub forum Don't ho-show because you will be banned if you do it twice. We can understand you cannot drop due to certain circumstances but if this happens a second time, you're banned from the league for 2 weeks. If you signed up for both leagues and you no-show in one league twice, you will be banned in both leagues! Try to limit the freeposts, we will have a chat/beef thread for that. BLACK FONT- The orphange w.e you call them people PLAIN TEXT=DAUGHTER I can feel the snow landing on my head, and the below freezing wind on my face Even though I still have a coat on my body, Goose bumps on my skin are being place My legs are so tired. I feel like the snow are gripping my legs and taking me under Cheeks are red, and my body tremulousness pinned in this treacherous weather My hair is covered in snow, and along with that, i feel like I’m having a brain freeze Eagar to go home, to get warm under the fire with hot coco being sunken in my tummy With an bright smile across my face, I've finally reach my destination. Home sweet home Turned the door knob, open and the door, The feeling of warm air is clinching in my bones In the corner of my eye, I see my mom, sitting in the chair, relax and peaceful "Come here" she said, I walk towards her, with a little of delight on my face, as i sit on the floor Knowing my days are numbered, and the grim reaper is getting ready to take me I tell my daughter to sit on the floor. Her beautiful eyes makes me smile with glee I can feel my air breathing machine, dieing down, so i quickly tell this to her "Baby I promise will be there for you ok?" Tears starts to show without memer My back lays comfortably on the chair, and my head is looking up at the ceiling In my mind "Please god, take care of my baby" chest pains signaling of slow breathing Like a feeling of a testis cope, my body is getting cold, and there's nothing I can do Like an snake getting ready to shed, my body i will leave while my spirit goes to the sky blue In a instant, my body callapses on the ground. Breathed out my last air on this earth "I promise" is what my last words was, and now my head is laying on my daughter I gasp in shock, even though it wasn't cold inside the house, i start to quiver Crawling backwards, tears starts to run thought my pupil, body shaking like an seizure When i reach out to touch her, i felt he emptiness in her body, it was no use Touched her skin, she couldn’t feel no nerve of my fingers, her face turning blue I ran to the phone, under heavy breathing, I dialed 911, and yelled on the receiver "Help Help my mom" my heart beats uncontrollably, "please send someone to help her" Ran to her, put my mom's head on my lap, and starts to move back and forth in 10 minutes, the door was bust down by 3 men with a stretcher in they're position I watch when they put her on the stretcher with all these equipment on her But i knew everything was going to be ok, cause she promise she will never leave me As I approach the house, an ambulance outside, and i see a girl head face down crying My heart melts out to her, because on the phone, they told me, the mother is dying I get out of the car, the wind is so cold that i started to get goose bumps in seconds Here to take this child away from her mom. I can already hear her vocals screamin Start's to walk toward her. My body is firm and rigid getting ready to be prepare I can already see when i take this child in. She'll be screamin in bed with nightmares The ambulance pulls away, leaving me with her. But then again it all changed With my jaw's wide open and grasp of cold air, in my eyes she was outranged With foot traces leading to where the ambulance, i can hear her screams "MOMMA MOMMA!" I tried to catch her, but she ran so quickly then her backside couldn’t be seen My chap lips are dry, I'm shivering with the cold air breezing on my skin Fingers and my hands trembles. My eyes are being blur by the blizzard wind Even my teeth’s are trembling, my lips quivers. Traces of my foot-steps on the ground I keep walking and walking, with the outside is cold, but the inside is warm in me now I know in my heart that my mom didn’t walk out on me, cause she made a promise She'll never break that promise, she swore. Now I'm out to find her, I'll make sure of it Going deeper and deeper in the blizzard, Still i see tire tracks under my feet. With no expression on my face, I wish to save it until my destination is complete Walking and walking, the winds are more colder, but not moving so voraciously I'll find my mom, cause she promise me. Promise that she'll never leave me
