Its impossible. reasons?

1. You need to buy extra plugins otherwise your protools is worhtless.
2. You need a registration key that is alot more hardout than cool edits or any other pirated software, comes with everydisk, needs be registered and email approved.
3. You need a Mbox interface to even be able to start Protools up (or a M audio interface)
4. Its worth paying the money for.

If you really want to use Pro Tools to a full purpose then get you a Apple Mac computer and dedicate it strictly to music, with pro tools on it believe me its worth it because it takes a shit load of space. But for home recording without a proper set up IMO pro tools will be useless.

Mac and PC argument could go all day, personally I prefer PC.

Word to building a hard drive dedicated to music (which is what Ive done) I also have a external hard drive that all my files get saved on leaving the computer RAM free, which in turn allows nice smooth recording sessions.

btw, my pro tools came through today. Big things bout to start happening.
