Simple version is RB was bought by Cprogress and strobe, who wanted to run it differently than the then-current admins wanted to. The solution was the split where the old admins ran RB and Cprog and strobe ran RV.

Well RB was weak.... So strobe took all the better poeple and created RV....
then the people from RB got mad and came over to RV and tried to battle us and me and a few other poeple owned them in battles and therefore they left and RB fell offf.... True story......partially true but that is just the way im gonna keep tellin it...
