This week, a decision has been made concerning THE TEXT LEAGUE.

After carefully considering the possibilities, I came to the conclusion that the best solution for this league was to start things over. Due to the disappearing act of my fellow mod, Mr. Baghdad, this side of the Linguistic Expressions became rather chaotic.


Things that are being done:

* there are no prizes for the text league at this moment but I am working on it

* I got a new mod (Mystic Chaos) appointed by strobe

* I'm campaigning to attract more contestans which will make it easier to offer prizes. You're welcome to join me in this campaign.

* I'm trying to organize prize challenges if I cannot give out one big prize to the winner of the play-offs

* I added a topic list instead of appointing one topic per battle. You get to choose now and your opponent does not have to agree. This is in order for you to use your creativity.


I hope you will all be patient when these changes are being made. I do my best and hope to get that same effort back so y'all better DROP! A lot depends on this first week...


Now to the BATTLES

1. Knight SirRebral vs. Crazy Hades

Unfortunately I must admit I have yet to read any of KnightSirRebral's work so I cannot be neutral towards this battle. Crazy Hades is an excellent writer and very hard to beat so the Knight will have to drop damn good to pleasantly surprise me.


2. Dervla vs. WillNova

Should be a good battle but I think my beautiful chica is gonna get this one if she drops and if she drops good. But WillNova, I'm sure you got what it takes to surprise me so get to writing, both of you!


3. The Revelation vs. ...D.P...

I feel DP is making progress and I hope he'll continue to do so as this league progresses as well. But Rev should be able to handle this if he drops one of this good pieces. No hate to DP but Rev just got that extra touch because of experience and such.


4. Zais vs. vafinest

I honestly do not know which was this battle is gonna go. Both have a similar writing style so it's hard to say who's gonna pull this one off. I am definitely looking forward to this battle though because I'm sure it will be a close call for the voters and an interesting read as well!


5. Tim. vs Unfulfilled

Kinda the same scenario as the first battle. Have not read much from Unfulfilled yet so I cannot really judge her skillwise. I do know Tim. has what it takes to do good in this league so this should be a good battle. And who knows, maybe Unfulfilled can wow us all


6. I Am Unreal. vs. H.D.

Our second suspenseful battle (I hope) because both are nice writers, got a somewhat different style which will make it even more interesting to read. But I think I Am Unreal. has a good shot at taking the win in this showdown because he can really wow a reader with his pieces.
