No,their were no steriods in Ruth's days.
But guess what?
His records are FAR more tainted than Bonds.
Just remember,in his time,Blacks and Hispanics were not allowed in the major leagues. So the competition was waaaaaaaaay inferior. So have to ask...would Babe hit 714 if he faced pitchers like Jose Mendez or John Donaldson?I think not.

Ruth would face the same pitchers over and over again.Since situational specialists coming out the bullpen was less prominent back then.Obviouly that makes things easier.Seeing the same pitchers over and over again...

As for Aaron, one of his teamates(davey johnson) said everyone was on the juice back then.Including Henry himself. Can we believe that one guy?I dunno...
But Jose Canseco(a steriod user himself) said when a player excels at an old age, that's ussually a sign.Obviously,Bonds is guilty of this. But so is Hank Aaron. At age 39,he hit 40 home runs...........in 392 AB....Think about that..

I think Bonds used steroids. But so did 90% of the players. And it's clear he started using it in 2002.But remember,he was a first ballot Hall of Famer BEFORE HE USED IT.He would have 500 home runs anyways. And he would be a 500 hr,500 Sb player. That's first ballot.

Yes,he should be recognized in the record books. We all THINK he used steriods, based on his age,performance,size..etc.But we don't know. He's never admitted it,nor failed a drug test.Guys like Palmerio and endless minor leaguers get caught after taking the drug test. But Barry hasn't.Unless you think he's on some undetactable stuff.Which would be as dumb as believing that Aaron and Ruth's numbers are clean.
