D12 member Swift was sentenced to 93 days in an Oakland County jail after missing a court hearing while to attend the funeral of his friend and fellow rapper, Proof.

Swift, born Ondre Moore, was arrested in a Detroit suburb and sentenced to more than three months for violating the terms of his probation in a drunk driving case.

District Court Judge Brian MacKenzie issued a warrant for Swift's arrest the same day he served as a pallbearer at Proof's funeral.

According to court records, the 31-year-old Detroit rapper tested positive for alcohol, despite being court-ordered to remain free of drugs and alcohol.

Swift allegedly tested positive for having alcohol in his system with blood alcohol levels reaching. 079 and .084 last week.

Swift was placed on probation after pleading guilty last October to a charge of operating a vehicle while visibly impaired.

The arrest comes on the heels of the murder of Swift's friend and original D12 member, Proof.

Born Deshaun Holton, Proof was shot multiple times and killed inside the C.C.C. club on 8 Mile Road on April 11, during a dispute with a bouncer.

Proof was laid to rest April 19 at the Fellowship Chapel in Detroit.

its a high profile funeral. The court knew the dates woudl clash, and knew he would do what any one else onearth would do.
He's charged for being loyal to his family.


The courts have no life,hearts,consideration and justice.

man i'd miss court as well to say goodbye for the final time...but man shoulda notified the police of his plans...coz jus skipping court is serious enough...

Etheridge killed Proof...because Proof shot Keith Bender...so it was self defense...to say a "killers roaming free" is a bit harsh IMO...at the end of the day we lost a decent MC to gun violence...but...there's people who killed for their country that are walking the streets but we don't label them killers and they DEFENDED their country (which was home to their family)...and Etheridge was defending his cousin that night...

jus remember that....sometimes it's more than hip hop people...

first off the killer aint roaming free..he's possibly gon get off with bein convicted of murder since it was in self defense...but he gon most likely be charged with having a gun without a license or some shit all i know is that he gon most likely be locked up for 5-9 years or something like that since i last checked up on it...
