Alcatrakz Needs Help!

IP: 9085 E706

i cant get this fuckin reverb thing down!...i use the true verb in the waves plug-ins....what i do...ive heard alot do this...is mix down all my vocals after i eq and do all that other jazz...and have adjusted volume levels...

so i make 2 mix downs of my vocals..one in the left and one in the right channel....

i then apply the reverb to these tracks...without the DIRECT clicked (so basically all that they are is the reverb of the vocals..if that makes sense)

and i lower those down to like -12 to -16....

but my reverb never sounds NICE...i dunno why..ive fucked with every godamn setting..i cant get that typicall "rap reverb" the smooth tailing off reverb....

PLEASE anyone with some ideas

the only thing i can think of is the chamber settings. For me i personally use one of the presets on my Reverb32 on cube it works fine, but i would say to lower the echo chamber so that its very little, just enuff to have the given effect, i hope that helps but i'm a slave to my presets sorry man

if the sound too hollow move the reverb tracks closer to the center. also mess with the decay on the reverb. use a little reverb with a long decay.

the less reverb the better... You don't want to notice it... you just want it to be there...

listen to Opey... there's reverb in everything I've ever dropped... so here's a great thing to do... master everything with no reverb on the vocals... then copy one of the vocals whichever you want to have reverb on... then put the reverb as high as it'll go... then... turn the volume on that particular wave to the bar minimum where if you mute everything else you barely hear it... than cut everything else back on... now... what you have hear is a track you'll never hear with alotta reverb... turn that track up until you can barely hear it... perfect reverb... Do that until you fuck around with it and get the verb to where you want it... and true verb is good... but it's best used with a hardware controller...
