Who is JTR? To answer that question, just ask Lil Petey. Private joke, sorry. No, seriously, JTR aka Jack the Ripper is for me the funniest guy out of the thousands of members on RapVerse. If there ever was a person who could just make you laugh at a moments notice, Josh is the guy. He has a great witty sense of humour and the jokes just seem to pour out of him like water out of a running tap. One of the things I always found most amusing about him was that he didn’t care who you were, or how respected you were; if he didn’t like you he would tell you straight to shut the fuck up. He never held his opinions back, even to those who were his friends; he would even rip on them if the time called for it. He is definitely a chill guy at heart though, I’ve had a few funny conversations on MSN with the dude and he always has me laughing. In short, Josh was one of those guys that came to the site later than some, but became an instant hit. Out of Nowhere This could pretty much sum up JTR’s appearance on RapVerse. Whether or not he was a well known, respected head on another site; when he came to RapVerse only a few knew him. The first time he battled, I remember people were blown away with how good he was. At first glance, he seemed to a lot of people as just another dude coming to RapVerse with more garbage. Josh took the site by storm though, opting to skip past the weak battlers and go for the big guys taking it straight to their jugulars. He disposed of some of the best this site had ever seen. I highly doubt that anybody will ever make such a huge and immediate impact on this site, JTR truly brought a new definition to “impact”. The Unsuccessful Success One of JTR’s most dominant runs was in tournaments, they seemed to be his thing. Whilst his run in the Second Annual Tag Tournament was short lived after his partner no-showed in the first round and he then went into Round 2 with a new partner only to lose. This didn’t stop him from entering the Tag Team Tournament III and getting all the way to the Championship Round with his partner Spul. Unfortunately for the two, David Lama & Young Philly beat them. This would prove to be a theme with Josh, his first run in the illustrious King of RapVerse Tournaments coming in the second one would see him get all the way to the Final Round after being seeded at #16. 9th Degree would be the person responsible this time for preventing him from achieving that last step. Nevertheless, he entered into King of RapVerse III when it came around, seeded at #1. Once again he would find himself in the Final Round, this time to be outdone by Spul. So, some might consider it an unsuccessful run, but I can’t think of many other battlers that have reached so many Final Rounds, so JTR could see it as a definite success story. The Humour, oh the Humour If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times. Josh is absolutely hilarious. Whether he is making jokes, ripping on somebody for being a total ass-bag or just participating in a general text battle, that humour always emerges in one form or another. He built his whole style of battling around that humour and with it he has been able to craft some of the cleverest punches you will ever see. 9 times out of 10 his punches would have voters rolling and just sincerely appreciating the comedy. Honestly, I doubt that anyone can bring me somebody who is funnier than this guy. He is a genuine classic, never forget that.

lmao @ lil Petey. anyways, word JTR made big impact on the text scene for RV no doubt. Used to be known as an annoying member as headgames, but switched it up and suprised everyone in KORV 2 by creating an alias. Said he'd win the tournament before it started, and was one win away from doing it. He is that nig, and when he's not scaring lil petey, he scares his opponents in battles. Real talk b.

it woulda been dope if i won KORV, cuz i told everyone all these other guys suck, im here, im winning, and then I actually ended up in the champ match, if only i could go back then cuz im better now and woulda been able to top Degree's verse, he elevated after that KORV too though. Word @ me being like on the first guys to actually incorperate my humor, or anger into verses (which was funny also) and you could feel my emotion when i posted, N. Tavarez said himself i was part of the pioneering of text on RV because so many dudes started copying my style lol. Word up though to Me, Nick, SpuL, and N.Tav (also 9th Degree and Mimesis for a while when they actually battled) running RV.

you forgot to mention how i completely fucked up all the oldschool punchline leagues and champed every single one lol... i was a god in punchline leagues back then lmao, and i was a beast in poetry too lol
