Intro

Yooo. Pretty good week this week, the bottom half let it down a bit as there were quite a few no-shows but the top half made up for it. Butler vs Roger Glocks is in my opinion, the best battle in LBL history so far. I’m thinking of archiving it, read the review of the battle for more information. Shake-Zula vs So Rell was good as well as Gopha vs Mimesis, Merc vs Erel and Met-A-4 vs Realism. Mimesis dropped raw and I thought he’d get verse of the week pretty easily until I read the Butler vs Glocks battle. Shit is looking dope next week as well, some ill sign in’s. Ouch, John Hensley, SPuL, Nick Fletcher and Rush Lingo are the notables. I’m especially happy that Ouch signed in as he’s dope and hasn’t been in the league before where as the other 3 have.

Recruiting

Recruiting dope people is probably easier than you think. Take Ouch for example, I saw that he was in the PRBA so I sent a PM over to him inviting him to join the LBL. He then got at me on AIM, we talked about it and he signed up. I’d never talked to the dude before but I still got him to join. So my point is, if you talk to anyone regularly who is a dope battler just try and get them to join the league, it’d be appreciated.

Battle Reviews

LBL Championship Match: 1. Butler (6-0) vs 2. Roger Glocks (6-1)

Best. LBL. Battle. Yet. This was dope as fuuuuuuck. When I read Butler’s verse I thought there was no way Glocks could come close, but fuck he came very close. Both verses had 7 quotables each, that’s amazing. And the rest of both of their verses were decent as well. There were no real weak lines in this. I’m seriously thinking of putting this in the LBL History forum as a classic battle, whaddya think? But yeah, this was raw as fuck. Butler had the round and black, curls, godfather impression, act his age, product of the movies, camera phone pic and the 2 pictures bar. Side note, that 2 pictures bar was fucking ill. Really fresh bar and just had me like "wow" at it when I worked it out. The Godfather bar had me laughing like hell as well. Glocks had the canibus bar, serious role, folding, head but, hanging out and lazy eye, flashing and kiss the game goodbye bars, they were all raw. My favourite was the hanging out and lazy eye one, real nice flip on an old concept. This was a dope battle but Butler ended up winning this 4-2. Sad amount of votes for such a good battle really. But yeah, do you think I should archive this as a classic battle? I’m thinking yes, I’d be interested to know your opinion though.

LBL Contendership Match: 3. Shake-Zula (7-1) vs 4. So Rell (10-5)

This was a very good battle. Rell dropped first and I was really feeling the live by the gun and one of a kind bars, they were both hot. He had some other decent stuff as well but no other real quotables. Shake dropped and he had some dooope quotables. Power ranked was good, Jenna Jameson bar was fucking ill and the laughing with me bar was real good. Good battle, but Shake took this pretty comprehensively and won 6-1.

5. Gopha (5-1) vs 6. Mimesis (10-1)

This was a good battle even though it was onesided. Gopha dropped aight, quite a few people didn’t like his verse but I thought it was decent. Crown bar was nice as well as the Isis bar. He had a sawed bar that coulda been cool but was worded wrong. But Mimesis killed this, his whole verse was pretty good and he had the dish out, building, tape and milk bars that were all ill as fuck. Mimesis won this 8-0.

7. Mercules (3-0) vs 8. Erel Avent (5-1)

Well Merc didn't want Erel to post as Erel posted late, so it's technically a no-show which results in Merc winning even if he didn't vote. Yet Erel only just posted late, but it's still in the rules, if Merc hadn't of said anything I woulda given Erel the win. But I can't. So I'll give Merc the win but Erel won't get a loss, he'll just move down the rankings. Decent battle overall though, just a shame it went down how it did.

9. N.Tavarez (6-1) vs 10. Daubs (9-6)

N.Tavarez dropped first and he had a pretty good verse. The mods feeling bad for you bar was dope as well as the graphic one. Both were harsh personals and hit hard. Daubs didn’t have much really, and he also started dissing me which I find hilarious. Cos when someone disses someone who ain’t in the battle, the person doing the dissing is being stupid cos it makes their verse worse. So yeah, by Daubs dissing me I inadvertently win lol. N.Tavarez got this and won 5-0.

11. Chrit (6-3) vs 12. pictureperfect2 (4-3)

Chrit no-showed so pictureperfect2 won. Picture, you should change your name to just Picture Perfect, seems less newby.

13. Sonny Dimebags (2-1) vs 14. Euthanize (2-0)

Both pics are down at the moment, so I can’t see them while reviewing the battle, so keep that in mind. Euthanize dropped ok, he has ok wording but most of his concepts are just weak. The tiles bar was pretty cool though. Sonny had the bags bar which was hot and the doubtfire bar was dope as well. Sonny got this easily really, and he won 2-0.

15. Feeble Minded (2-0) vs 16. JTR (8-5)

JTR posted up mad late and Feeble said he was gonna take the win before that cos he was busy so Feeble wins. JTR had a Wilson bar that was dope as fuck though.

17. Nasdeey (2-2) vs 18. Tony Brown (3-3)

Tony Brown no-showed so Nasdeey won.

19. SlicKnife (4-1) vs 20. Ayo its Money (1-0)

Ayo its Money no-showed so SlicKnife won.

21. Met-A-4 (1-0) vs 22. Realism (1-0)

Decent battle here. Realism’s opener was dope and I was feeling the deadlines bar, even though its been done a lot he worded it very nicely. Met-A-4 had the kick bar, that was hot and Beyonce bar was pretty cool. I thought Realism prob just took this but the voters disagreed and Met-A-4 won 4-1.

23. Raw King (2-5) vs 24. Ace Heratoga (4-1)

Raw King dropped weak, his style is just super newby. There was nothing of note that I liked really, the rib concept was cool but was just worded awfully. Ace came better, his closer was pretty nice and the rest of his verse was reasonably consistent. Ace won 4-0.

25. rexless (2-2) vs 26. Out Writechas (2-1)

This was a weak battle. Out Writechas had the rex-ancient history bar which was hot and rexless had nothing of note. Out, if you don’t vote next week I will take this weeks win off of you. So make sure you fucking vote, same goes for everyone. Out Writechas won

27. E.C (4-2) vs 28. da sein (2-2)

da sein no-showed so E.C won.

29. T.r.oo.P (2-4) vs 30. ClasSick (2-0)

This was hugely one sided. Troop dropped and had nothing at all; he had played concepts like a left and right bar and a landlord-keys bar. He seemed to have been elevating over the past weeks but he didn’t drop at all good this week. Classick dropped a lot better, most of his verse was decent and the mind bender bar was pretty cool. Classick won this 7-0.

31. Rae Report (1-1) vs 32. Marcus Aurelias (0-2)

Not a badish battle here, but nothing great. Marcus had the winzip bar that was pretty cool and Rae had the milf hunter line that was dope. This was 1-1 when I came to close it and I would have voted Rae but he didn’t vote, so Marcus won.

33. D.Stroyer (0-1) vs 34. Mick Swagger (0-1)

Mick Swagger no-showed so D.Stroyer won.

35. The Real Talk (1-2) vs 36. J Bee (1-1)

KempoMRK: What made ya come back to battling? As you had a break where no one heard from you for a while.

Ouch: when i used to check over the sites and see what was happening but never post man but then i saw the prba was in need of good competition and i decided to post again

KempoMRK: Why the LBL?

Ouch: Because you told me to man and it seems much better than the prba, it has better heads in like hens and butler now and more than anything i wanna take the belt off butler lol

KempoMRK: haha cool. You and butler have a rivalry?

Ouch: Nah man i feel that nigga hes a dope writer with fresh concepts and hard hitting punches but it looks like no-one is challenging him at the moment so its my turn soon

Ouch: Real name is Jermaine Adair born in the michel Projects... South bronx.... I now live in the SB

KempoMRK: How'd the whole internet battling thing come about?

Ouch: Well i started off in the streets and then just found the internet and boom i started there

Ouch: Well it was more just cyphers than anything but i used to shock people with punchlines and fresh concepts which made me get respect

Ouch: Street battling..... When my punchlines hit i heard people often say Damn.... Ouch and boom thats were the name came from...

Ouch: Well ive beat alot of heads and ive champed the prba and i went under spooky tooth in the rbl i think i went somin like 13-1 or 12-1 and lost intrest but my favourites battles has to be the ones with hens and butler

KempoMRK: That was in the WBL right?

Ouch: Yeah in the 3 way match, We all dropped dope verses, butler with his fresh punchlines, me with my fresh concepts and hens with everything he normally brings

KempoMRK: Who ended up winning?

Ouch: Hens ended up winning by something like 3 votes which i give him the most respect for...

KempoMRK: What's your favourite battle that you've been involved in?

Ouch: Probably that one since it had the most hype going and everyone was waiting for us all to drop

KempoMRK: Nice. Did ya ever champ the WBL?

Ouch: Yeah i made champion once and im ready to champ the prba and then move on to champ the lbl

KempoMRK: Would you say the WBL was the best league you've ever been in?

Ouch: Yeah it had the most dopest competion and had the best all around hype i mean everyone wanted to be in it at one point and wanted to champ it.. with top heads like hens running the show and butler coming in and then lama with his famous mags it was the best league on the net at one point..

KempoMRK: What would you say is wrong with battling nowadays?

Ouch: Too many people are scared to come up with fresh lines incase they make them look stupid so insted the just flip old used lines which gets no respect in my mind if you come fresh you come dope...

Ouch: I was on UPN before b-boys my time there was wack because the voting was always screwed..

Ouch: It was always based on names, If You battled someone with a dope name you knew you were going to lose

Ouch: Yeah straight if someones made a impact on a good site and thier name is heard of being dope you really have to drop really dope to even get your point across

Ouch: Mostly the new kids that are like woah ive head hensleys dope he will win this lets not even read the verses just vote for him

Ouch: Nah not really just all the new kids that dont know how to battle

KempoMRK: Out of everyone in the LBL, who do you think is the biggest BITCH?

Ouch: Lol just read merc vs EA and merc is bitching because hes losing to a biter i mean yeah its not right but he should let the mods handle it not just bitch about it to everyone

KempoMRK: Did you think much of Mercules at B-Boys? He was previously known as Matt Glib as well.

Ouch: I think hes improved mad loads since i last saw him.. He used to people someone i could half ass for now i think i would have to drop decent hes improved mad loads and is a respected head in my mind

KempoMRK: Do you do audio?

Ouch: Nah man i dont record shit over the computer i rap in the streets and in cyphers and thats about it..

KempoMRK: Do you have no urge to ever do audio?

Ouch: I might do in a couple of years but at the moment i see no point recording my voice through a shitty microphone ive got at the moment

Predictions

LBL Championship Match: 1. Butler (7-0) vs 2. Shake-Zula (8-1)

This will be dope as fuck. Both are ill and have champed multiple leagues multiple times and both have been dropping hot for a while now. Based on history this could be very close. But over the past few weeks Shake has been dropping good and Butler has been dropping dope as fuck. This will be ill, but I think Butler will take it.

LBL Contendership Match: 3. Mimesis (11-1) vs 4. Mercules (4-0)

Good battle here also. Mercules is nice and Mimesis is dope. Though Mercules just isn’t as good as Mimesis in my eyes, so I think Mimesis should take this. It’ll be a very good battle though if both try and Mercules could be in with a chance if he drops his best.

5. N.Tavarez (7-1) vs 6. pictureperfect2 (5-3)

This should be a pretty easy win for Tavarez really. Picture was dropping some good stuff a few weeks back but he isn’t dropping much that’s quote worth lately. Tavarez has been dropping nice so he’ll take this fairly easy.

7. Sonny Dimebags (3-1) vs 8. Feeble Minded (4-0)

Sonny is pretty nice and dropped a couple of top punches last week, but he has Feeble Minded this week so that pretty much fucks his chance of winning. As while Sonny is pretty nice Feeble is dope. So Feeble will win this by a lot.

9. Roger Glocks (6-2) vs 10. So Rell (10-6)

Hot battle here, two people who have really made a name in LBL coming up against each other. This’ll be dope but I think Roger will take it. Rell has been dropping nice lately but Glocks has been dropping dope. This’ll be a great battle if both drop their hardest but Glocks will win.

11. Nasdeey (3-2) vs 12. SlicKnife (5-1)

Very onesided, Nasdeey is only here cos of various no-shows and stuff. Sorta the same with SlicKnife but he has the skills to be here. Slic should win this by a lot if he drops how he can.

13. Met-A-4 (2-0) vs 14. Ace Heratoga (5-1)

This’ll be good. Ace was someone who I didn’t know how well he’d do in the league but he proved me wrong and did really well, and Met-A-4 has just been dropping nice since he entered the league at the start. This will be close as well and could definitely go either way, I’m gonna go out on a limb though and say that Ace will scrape it.

15. Out Writechas (3-1) vs 16. E.C (5-2)

E.C is pretty good but he’s never dropped anything really dope, least from what I’ve read. Where as Out can drop those dope punches so he has the advantage in this. I’ve got Out Writechas taking this by quite a few votes.

17. ClasSick (3-0) vs 18. Marcus Aurelias (1-2)

Marcus shouldn’t really be here as Rae beat him but Rae didn’t vote, so Marcus got the win. Doesn’t matter though as Classick will win this easily.

19. rexless (2-3) vs 20. D.Stroyer (1-1)

This is a hard one to call really. I think rexless cares more about winning though so he should come out of this with the win.

21. J Bee (2-1) vs 22. DaTrusHurtz (1-0)

J Bee’s a funny guy but he’s only in the league for comedic purposes where as DaTrus actually wants to do well. For that, DaTrusHurtz will win this very very easily by lots of votes.

23. GC (1-0) vs 24. Gopha (5-2)

I still dunno who GC is, but as I’ve said before Gopha is nice and has a lot of potential so he’ll win this.

25. Erel Avent (5-1) vs 26. Euthanize (2-1)

Erel is unlucky to be here but as he posted late and Merc didn’t want him to get the extension, then he is. Euth is ok but he ain’t on Erel’s level. Erel should win this fairly easily.

27. JTR (8-6) vs 28. Realism (1-1)

Tight battle here. Both are nice and both were unlucky to lose last week so they’ve both gotta prove how good they are in this battle. Doesn’t seem like JTR cares much about battling anymore as he’s gotta sign out soon, so Realism will probably take this.

29. T.r.oo.P (2-5) vs 30. Rae Report (1-2)

Rae dropped pretty decent last week, he had some nice concepts and that milf hunters line was dope. Troop dropped weak with nothing of note, so Rae will take this.

31. Sense (0-1) vs 32. John Hensley (0-0)

Hensley is back in the league after almost champing it last time and he’ll do very well in it this time around also. Hensley will win this by so many votes it’s not even funny, as long as he drops his votes and shows.

33. Nick Knack (0-0) vs 34. Original (0-0)

I dunno either, but I’m gonna guess Nick Knack to win.

35. Ill.Eyes (0-0) vs 36. Defcon_5 (0-0)

I dunno who Ill is, but Defcon is pretty nice and I recruited him so he will win this.

37. Wireless (0-0) vs 38. Precize (0-0)

Precize has been in the league before and he’s reached the contender battle a couple of times. He’s elevated since then though and should not be slept on. I dunno who Wireless is. Precize to win.

39. Ouch (0-0) vs 40. Dae Killah Kaze (0-0)
Ouch is dope, read the interview for more info. But he’s champed the WBL and RBL before, so he’s a definite future champ of the LBL. I dunno who Dae Killah Kaze is, but just look at his name, he’ll be whack. Ouch will win this no doubt.

41. Jonathon (0-0) vs 42. Yung Impression (0-0)

Jonathon wasn’t good last time he was in the league so Yung should be able to pick up the win fairly easily here.

43. SPuL (0-0) vs 44. K.ontroverz.Y (0-0)

Kon had a negative record last time he was in the league and SPuL was in a champ match at one point, SPuL is nice and is the KORV3 champion so he’ll win this with ease.

45. Malicious (0-0) vs 46. Revelationz. (0-0)

I dunno either, but Malicious keeps no-showing. Soo, Revelationz to win.

47. Ken`Pho (0-0) vs 48. Nick Fletcher (0-0)

Nick Fletcher is back after a brief hiatus where he disappeared without telling anyone, and he was dropping dope before then. He’s got a fresh record and no doubt some fresh concepts so he’ll win this.

Don’t Sleep On

Ouch – He’s dope, previous WBL and RBL champion, he will be in the championship match soon. Do not sleep.

John Hensley – You’ll have seen him in this league before…along with about 10 others that he’s probably champed as well. He woulda won the title last time round if he’d of dropped his votes, but he assures me he’ll vote this time which will result in him champing the league this time.

Defcon_5 – He’s a primarily RM head and he’s pretty nice. DO NOT USE A CONVERSE BAR AGAINST HIM THOUGH, he’s always complaining about how played they are lol.

Precize – He’s also been in the league before and he did well, but he has improved since then. Will definitely be hanging around the top 15 at least.

Nick Fletcher – Always has the fresh concepts and pretty much always has a punch in the top 10 punches section, so he’ll do good in the league. Did well previously but I think he’ll do better this time.

SPuL – KORV3 champion who seems to have under performed in the league previously. I’m sure that will change though and he’s someone who can definitely be champ.

So Rell – Had a hard opponent in Shake last week but it was a pretty close battle. He’s getting better by the week.

SlicKnife – Needs to start dropping how he was the first time he was in the league to progress, as he hasn’t been dropping the ill shit he once did.

Top 10 Power Rankings

10. ClasSick – Is dope and is slowly working his way up the rankings. He should be in the champ match soon definitely.

9. Met-A-4 – Just below Ace, but he can win that battle definitely. He just has to drop dope to get it as they are both evenly matched. Has done well in the league so far but I’m wondering how he’ll hang against the better competitors.

8. Ace Heratoga – Is only just above Met-A-4 as I think he’ll win that battle, but it’ll be very close. Will have to drop dope to win but he’s been doing very well in this league so far.

7. Roger Glocks – Would have beaten most other people in the league with the verse he dropped last week, but Butler just edged him out in it. The fact he only lost by 2 votes shows something though, as most would have got murdered. He’ll champ this league soon if he keeps dropping how he has.

6. Mercules – The underdog in his battle with Mimesis but if he drops really dope then he could take it.

5. N.Tavarez – Previous champ who’s making his way back up the rankings again. Has a reasonably easy battle next week but has a hard run to the champ battle after that.

4. Feeble Minded – He’ll probably be in the champ match in a couple of weeks, has been dropping some good stuff and is an RB legend. Could be champ very soon.

3. Mimesis – Ill battler. He’s still technically undefeated in the league as he couldn’t drop a verse in the battle he lost, so he should start dropping in the LBL cypher to get that removed. But he’s dope and a former champ, will probably be champ again.

2. Shake-Zula – Has a very hard battle this week against Butler but he’s been dropping hot lately. He’s a definite future champ, it just remains to be seen whether or not he can beat Butler.

1. Butler – Last week was his week. He dropped a dope verse against Glocks and won that battle and he also won the LBL cypher with some ill bars. I see him retaining against Shake but he’ll have to drop how he has been to do that.

Pretty hot week last week, but this week is looking to be even better. Some real dope battles and stuff so make sure you drop dope and vote and this week will be ill as fuck. Peace.
