WRONG... I HAVE TO DISAGREE WIT ALL YALL

Dmx didnt jes started using punchlines.........no he didnt use em on his previous albums

but I've listened to many Dmx freestyles and mixtapes he did before he was commercial and a few when he was commercial, and he did shit like that on the tracks

So i am not surprise about it

lot of ppl think wierdly about "mainstream" rappers

but if u didnt know, most did lot of real underground type shit b4 they got there

Jay-Z, Nas, Eminem, Busta Rhymes(yes i said Busta) and a few grew up on Cyphering and lots of dose shit

ha but basically dat Grand Champ was coo, not wack, not da best...

Lyrically he aint anything special,
Its the way he uses his voice and the songs,
I dont have much time for DMX but he's Aigh,
there are many more underground artists i would consider,
Better lyric wise but that isntalways the way hip-hop works.

No...Here's the thing. You see, there's two types of underground rap. First is real underground rappers, their underground because they are to smart for the radio LoL.
Then theirs rappers who aren't underground, their just not successful. Their only underground because they can't make it mainstream.

^^But ol dude C Drama does have a point......all the rappers he named all have underground street legened behind them....Jay-Z battled Busta in a high school hallway becasue they went to the same school and Busta admit that Jay won..Jay battled DMX and it went on for like 30 min.....It was a long time ago..they had some of the footage on that movie Backstage....and it was some gutta shit....Jay was stand on top of some car rappin fast and shit....WE all know Em went through the ranks...Nas said in the song, It's on Illmatic, that he used to battle in the Queens park and he would lose cuz he was so deep people didn't know what he was talking about.......People tend to front on emcees once they 'crossover' but alot of them paid they street dues already..

And you act as though this underground to mainstream transition is brand new to us?
Even if they were underground now, I wouldn't listen to them because they are all wack...except for Nas.

And there are so many artists that I could name that perform with much more emotion than DMX has ever done.

And I think he did bite those lines because I know I have seen many of those lines before.
