ok i was thinking bout getting a mic and starting to make some audio here soon...thing is i have no clue what to look for in a mic...i dont wanna spend that much starting off or anything so something cheap that sounds decent would be nice....will i need anything extra to hook it up to my comp?...if you got any suggestions lmk.....

but dont go out n by some...Head Set Mic..or a Mic With a Clip for like 5 dollars...u gotta be willing to spend some money....
try this go to a Music Store...and Ask For a Audio Tecnicha Dynamic mic...they run from 49 to like 200...but they dont need power...all they need is a 1-8 inch addaptar..to go into ur computer...thats prolly ur best bet...cuz Condensor mics are the best u can get..but then u gotta run into a power source...n those mics alone cost like 200 at the cheapest

no...at least get a condenser and a pre-amp...

its not worth wasting money on dynamics...unless its a pimp one like the Shure SM58 - but that needs a preamp too.

any audio head with one shred of credibility is going to tell u to get a condensor mic and a preamp. It's more important to get a good preamp rather than spend money on an expensive condensor with a shitty preamp.

actually i was just enlightened about a new mic.. usb.. - if u want good quality but cant afford a condenser (which is prolly the case) get a headset usb.. they run from 40-50

if you a broke ass kid who doesnt know the beauties of pushin drop $10 on a labtec computer mic. plugs right into any soundcard slip a sock over that joint and you done. i use that and listen to my quality its actually decent.

for decent dynamic get a shure sm58 prolly run you $150

if you can drop like $400-500 get a shure ksm27 and a decent preamp.

im prolly gettin like a akg c4000 iono yet my re ups goin into clothes for now.

ha i use the sock trick too...but if you got a good music program.
all you need to do is compress the voice and add effects to it and you can make it sound like you was in a booth...

no u cant. it wont sound really bad, but it wont sound like a mic booth
