I've wrote verses to a beat before, but anyway what's the proper way to do it,listen to the beat first and then write your verse or listen to the beat and then pause, write a line and then play it again?

What i do..is I listen to the beat througout....make note of the timings of verses, hooks, bridges...then i write 2 lines or 1 line, re start the beat test that line..perfect it go on to the next...and do the same..

I feel comfortable with listening to the beat and playing it and playing it, and get the words playing in my mind and then I make a sentence, then I play it and I play it till I get a whole verse done. Pretty Match, But It gets' me annoyed so yeah. Any more advice?

the easiest thing to do is to turn a beat on that u really feelin. and start freestylin to it. keep freestylin till u got a good opener or a good 4-8bars.

-OR-

U could listen to the beat until the hook part comes on and dependin what the mood of the beat is, write the hook accordingly and from there u'd have a mood and a topic to start writin ur verse around.

I just listen to the beat and start writing the song, cuz I can remember the flow I want for the song. Then I go over the verse to make sure it works.

What I do is I will write as many lines that come to mind when I get into the song. At first, I just write the lines without too much regard to flow. Once I have enough lines written, or if I just can't think of what to write next, I will restart the beat and go over every line and make sure the flow is right. If not, just add, subtract, or change around some of the words ™

I hardley never just sit there and listen to the beat... Ill listen to the beat once get the mood for the song then ill go to work or somthing and while im working ill start putting the song together in my head. Then when I u go to record its easy to take out or add words to make it on beat..

Sitting there and listening to the beat over and over takes all the fun out of it for me
