I am now running the rap olympics.

I want to clean it up and make this work properly.
And the best way to do this, is by getting rid of all the currantly open threads and going back to the sign ups stage for the time being.

Does anyone have any major arguments as to why this shouldnt happen.
Because if the threads stay open, there is no way I can garentee this can work perfectly.

I am going to be running this very different to how Plutonium had it set up.
I will begin making changes tomorrow.

So please post in here stating wether you support restarting the comp at this early stage or give an argument as to why this should not happen.

I plan on making 4 sub forums only. Text, Topical, Audio and one more, Possibly a punchline one.

This will stop a lot of confusion, and will be more on point about the type of battles people will be having. I also plan on running heats inside each country and having the winners of the heats go head to head in the proper olympic battles.

The cash prizes will be larger, and there will be no stuff ups.
However, with the currant set up, I dont see how these new things can happen. That is the reason I would like to re start the battles.

Well theres two ways we can do this.

1. We leave the whole thing open and let it continue to not run properly because 2 people have dropped their verse.
or
2. We re open it with new rules and a better system.

I will try and put you two in a battle so that your verses aint wasted. But otherwise, what can I do bro..

Not sure u could leave the battles where people have droped
on until the close date, all the battles that are still not posted
on close the ASAP.

If a battle is open and both verses droped the winners in the
next round with out battling in the new version of the comp.

welll... if you re-do everything
and put the categories like text, audio... etc... you should still keep the certain text categories.. like if two people gotta do a text together, they can agree on a type of text... for example, if i was battling socrates and we both agreed on area diss... then we would both do an area diss. but if we cant agree on anything, then its just a regular 10 line against each other... and we could have those sub-topics for all types of battles... example, audio can have a self hype etc... topical can have a forced word... etc... you get what im sayin
how yall like that? cuz i really like the different types of text that we can do. that would keep our tourney different from all the others and make more people wanna come to something more interesting...
