Questioning Beliefs.

IP: 6FA7 7304

God I doubt your existence
For instance, go the distance
Save the world, prevent the hunger
Keep the younger from war with brother
Just a mother, and a father’s lover
Why’d she die, god, why’d she die?
Where’s the answer to my question?
What’s the lesson, that life is testin’?
Use your power for the better good,
You know you should, and you know you could.
Instead you let them starve and die,
So now “GOD”, I ask you why, oh, why?
An evil god, you seem to be
You hold the key to set man free
But yet you leave them with help nowhere
It isn’t there, and it isn’t fair.
God, war takes victims day after day
And you let it happen, you let it stay.
So now god, I’ll ask you, don’t be corrupt
Do you exist, or were you made up?

This was quite simple, phrantik. In a very good way though.

Like someone taken to the edge by something. And now he/she's left asking these questions. In a kind of desperation. Seeking answers and looking towards God for answers. Though deep down knowing he shall not answer. That it is within humanity you shall find them. And god is an endless circle of questions and answers that still leave more questions which are answered the same to which leaves more....

Er, okay, so i added hte last part on. You know, carrying it on. But i think you get the point.

It's a common perspective. One which many people go through at one point in there life. To one extent or another.

A solid piece (i think i used that for the last piece i read too...hmmm...). It was fairly straight forward. Yet brought forth an extra level or two of emotions and atmosphere.

Anyway, i liked the kind of innocent and simple perspective of this piece. The bareness of it.

...resp...

quite blasphemic, so i cant say i like the topic, but your style is simply biting (as in, you hold my attention)

What’s the lesson, that life is testin’?

We believe because we have faith. we have faith that if we struggle and do the right thing, God will reward us in heaven. Sometimes I question my own religion, but I always remember this.

god works in mysterious ways...if you have the time
in your long legged life read the 'footprints" poem

if you dont read it heres it summarized...

theres a man walking on the beach alone but
theres two sets of footprints at the end...

if you lost your mother recently sorry for that but
shes in a much better place waiting for you not anytime
soon but still waiting...heaven has to be a great place
when our lives are over and done with

on another note...if a homeless man walks into
mcdonalds and asks me for change but dosent
ask for an application hes choosing to live his life
without ambition....God would make something
happen for that man if he chose to attempt changing
his lifestyle...thats how I believe god works man...
many times I dont believe but then some things
make him seem real to me...slightly...so hopefully ill
be in heaven someday and so will you...
with your whole entire family...

hope this meant something to you....since your back
try replying to some people in here theres good stuff
spread out in here...take care

THE ONLY THING I GOTTA SAY BOUT THIS IS THAT GOD IS REAL
PEOPLE DIE ALL THE TIME BECAUSE FOR SOME REASON FATE HAS JUST BROUGHT THEM THERE
AND NOT BECAUSE GOD LETS IT HAPPEN
U HAVE TO BE ONE WITH GOD AND GIVE YER LIFE TO HIM IN ORDER FOR HIM TO SAVE YOU
PEOPLE WHO ARE LOST FROM GOD JUST DRIFT AWAY LIKE EVERYDAY ACCURANCES
IT WAS A VERY THOUGHT OUT POEM NONE THE LESS...

nice poem but ask yourself who made all of dis , there has to be some sort of being dat created all of dis, look at ya life what ever happend to you if it was bad could not possible be blamed on God, all da wars murders can't be pinned on him,you have to realize dat dis earth is a Testing ground notice da key word test, an how you sit your exam determines where you end up when da test is over, but if you decide to not take da test then you would most definetly fail, so whether you be muslim jew christian buddast or whatever, your in a religion dats trying to pass Gods test, trying to find some answers but if you want to be atheist then youve givin up on God an basicly saying fuck u God an ya test
then you will find satin to be ya best friend wispering in your ear "DONT TAKE DA TEST THERE IS NO GOD DONT LISTEN TO PEOPLE WHO LL TRY AN CONVINCE YOU" if you truly want to find God look for da signs an he will send them to you

i dont believe in god, nor do i believe in satan.
(so how will i turn to him? how will he whisper in my ear?)
and i still do good things, i still look out for my neighbor
and do all that 'nice bull-shit'.. and where did all this come from?
its called evolution and the big bang. ever hear of Darwin?
any of those big names in evolutionary science.. its easy to see
where we came from, hell, bush is still half monkey.
i dont believe in heaven or hell, so how can you attempt to scare
me by talkin about satan and all that mess? im tolerant of your
beliefs, please respect my decision and my beliefs.
"God shaped us to be like him" then why is man so evil?
god is a myth.. a good story book.. a way to teach children how
to live our life. nothing more.. its a book of principles and morals.

I can't say I believe, I can't say I don't believe... I'm hoping that within those mere seconds when death finds me, they will last a lifetime, and I'll be given all the answers.. but until then I will have faith in myself to do the right thing, and not in 'God' to guide me.
The Bible is indeed a great storybook, but nothing more.

To the poem- I liked it. Obviously the questioning is something many people can relate to, and you voiced it well. I enjoyed reading it. Good write.

Waiting until the last seconds is a stupid way to leave your fate hanging. Especially when you can go and find the answers yourself. Even secular books have proof that God exists. All you have to do is look. People always want things given to them without working.

And Phrantik, why write God off just because of what's going on in the world? You do know about free will, right? It would be kind of a contradiction if God started controlling everything the way you want. I'm sure even people would complain in a perfect world just because they aren't able to explore the mysteries of sin. You've never noticed blessings in bad things that happen?

About your writing. I liked it, just how you were questioning things. Doesn't seem like you really want the answers though. Are you expecting them to just appear before you on a stone tablet? Read books about it. I don't mean any disrespect here because I have a lot of respect for you as a writer.
