Yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo. I’m back from holiday, at this point in time I’m tired as fuck, I had like 1 hour sleep and my body clock is FUCKED. Yet I’m still doing this mag for ya’ll, so be happy. Week seemed pretty good last week, I’ll review it in the battle review section. Seemed like some cool battles. Rush Lingo found a lot of hot punches, props to him for helping with the top punches section. Seems like butler dropped hot as fuck, props to him. Chrit is still the champ, he beat So Rell in the champ match. That’s about all. The league is looking very good. 50 people in it, dopeness.

Battle Reviews

LBL Championship Match: 1. Chrit (5-0) vs. 2. So.Rell (7-3)

Pretty nice battle, albeit with controversy it seems. I don’t think Rell was gonna give Chrit the extension then he realised he didn’t wanna win the title like that, so he did. Rell came decent, some creative shit in there, gene pool was decent but played, yet worded nicely. Adams apple was a cool flip as well. Chrit just clowned though; his verse was pretty much funny throughout. Packed with blunt humorous personals, he just came nice and won 2-0 in the end. Awful amount of votes, but its deserved cos of the lateness though.

LBL Contendership Match: 3. John Hensley (2-0) vs. 4. Gopha (2-0)

Pretty nice battle here again. Gopha dropped decent, Vegas strip was nice and hit puberty was cool. Hensley just words all his stuff perfect though, his verse was hot throughout. Hit the ground was just dooope. Hensley won this 7-0.

5. Daubs (6-4) vs. 6. Shake-zula (3-0)

Ok battle, neither really tried it seems which is silly. Daubs dropped first and had the touch up line which was hot as was the super SZ bar. Shake had the MIA bar which was mad dope and the senile bar was hot as well. Shake won this 7-2 but didn’t vote, and as Daubs did I decided to give them both the win as I was being slack on voting.

7. Nick Fletcher (6-4) vs. 8. Rush Lingo (5-4)

Cool battle once more, definitely a good week. Nick dropped first and came cool, catching on was nice along with the record bar and excel bar. Rush dropped nice but he might of overdone it on the nameplays. Nick’le was nice, dime was hot and picnic was decent. Overall Nick won this 10-0 in a blowout, but the votes ain’t reflective of the battle as it was a lot closer than 10-0.

9. N.Tavarez (2-0) vs. 10. Roger Glocks (2-0)

Dope battle here. Glocks came hot, his opener was dope, real fresh as well. N words was hot. Federer was dope, maaaad fresh concept. His closer was decent also. Tavarez came with a personal filled verse, pretty good verse overall but I had Glocks taking this. Voters disagreed though and Tavarez won 8-0.

11. JTR (5-3) vs. 12. .Jae.Brix. (4-3)

Jae Brix showed up late, he’s in next week but he lost. JTR won.

13. Monsieur (1-1) vs. 14. T.r.oo.P (1-1)

Ok battle, but a clear winner in my eyes. Monsieur took it pretty easy. Troop came aight, but Mons had the faith bar which basically won it for him, that was dope. Two L’s was nice as well. Troop’s Nextel bar was cool. Awful amount of votes for this cos of lateness again but Monsieur won 1-0.

15. Pictureperfect2 (1-1) vs. 16. SPuL (1-1)
I haven’t a clue how SPuL won this. Pictureperfect had a dope opener and closer and all Spul had was the face to face punch. But yeah, Spul won 4-3 in the end.

17. Precize (1-0) vs. 18. Erel Avent (1-0)

Both posted late and had 0 votes by the time I came to close the thread, so I gave them both a win. Lucky that I was in a nice mood both of ya.

19. Led Poetic (1-0) vs. 20. Butler (1-0)

butler ripped this. He killed Led’s pic, it was a dumb move on Led’s part for even posting his pic as butler is nice at pic battles. Led no-showed anyway, so it didn’t really matter. Butler won via no-show.

21. Defiance (1-0) vs. 22. Wicked One (1-2)

Defiance no-showed, Wicked One won.

23. Chris Stylez (4-6) vs. 24. Faime S. Quotez (0-1)

Neither dropped great, but Chris definitely dropped better. Chris, sort out your style though, your bars are way too long. Then again, that closer was pretty hot, so I dunno if you just did it for that lol. Faime didn’t drop great, just work on having proper punches as opposed to the kinda stuff you are using like this:

Ehh, weak battle. Neither really came dope and both have definitely come better. Makaveli had the jump off bar, that was decent and Yung had the moustache bar. Makaveli won 1-0 in the end.

Neither dropped great, Raw had the TeamOne-learn to rap bar, that was hot, the setup was stupid as fuck though. TeamOne didn’t have anything really worth quoting. Raw King won this 2-0.

29. Tim. (0-2) vs. 30. Opus Dei (0-0)

Tim no-showed. Opus dropped a pretty nice verse, had some hot punches in it. Opus won.

31. E.C (0-0) vs. 32. TayTay (0-0)

TayTay said he was busy and showed up late. E.C dropped a quick verse and got the win.

Knight no-showed. Serbness won.

Nick Fletcher: on RB i just battled random people to increase my net record.. GANGSTA!!! i tried to get in LLL.. but some fucker blabbed that i was from RV and they told me to fuck off... Nick Fletcher: hhmmm, lets see... well some may not class it as an achievement, but having the most wins out of anyone on RV is to me... u cud say i am the most experienced battler on RV, not the best... but most experienced being that i've battled more than anyone else. other than that... i got to the last 16 of KORV3 where i got faggot bashed out of it... i was a champ in the old KLL more than once... umm, i won R.I.T.T.2 - topical tournament... was a semi-finalist in VE4 (topical again) and when the RV awards was up.. i won best text battle twice and was also named vet of the month. word.

But, it had a relatively good start, fell off a little... but now it is fucking dope. Nick Fletcher: Well, I've got shakes this week... I would like to battle Butler to... and prolly Mets to.

KempoMRK: On to last weeks PPV, you had 3 fucking battles. What was your favourite and what did you think of them all? Like how was it writing for 3 long battles?

Nick Fletcher: My favourite was easily the Concept Flipping Battle. It was a first for me, and people said I dropped dope.. but Hensley dropped FUCKING MAD HOT!!! But, the writing for them wasn't that hard. I mean the concept battle.. i had pre-given concepts... the wrestling battle i had pictures to work off... and then chrit's faggot ass comes with some 40 lines bullshit... i drop 40 fresh lines... i mean yea, obviously there are gonna be some used concepts... but he drops like half a verse of recycled lines and still faggots voted for him. WTF!!!

KempoMRK: Haha, did you think you won that battle?

Nick Fletcher: Yeh, I honestly did. And whether people believe me or not... I don't give a fuck. But I had like 6 or 7 people tell me I won that battle... but the fuck heads didn't vote. And then after like... there was people like JTR saying i shud be champ. Oh well, Chrit will get his eventually...

KempoMRK: Do ya think Hensley will beat him this week?

Nick Fletcher: Easily. But, I'm still gonna say that Chrit will walk away with the title. Hensley is getting lazy as fuck... its two weeks now that he has not voted on a single battle.

KempoMRK: Who would you say is the dopest in the league?

Nick Fletcher: That is a hard one... Hensley has got that wording down.. but I honestly think there are a lot more people who come up with better punch ideas than he does, they just word them horrid. I would say, Mimesis when he signs back in.... but for now.. either Hensley or Butler.

KempoMRK: And who do you think has the most potential?

Nick Fletcher: An even tougher question.... I'll go with Roger Glocks. Kid is ill already, but he has the potential to be at a level where he is sonning the best in the league.

KempoMRK: yeah, he's still new as well. He's only been battling a year and a half I believe. And he won a newbie tournament on B-Boys in September. Are you at a level you're happy with battling wise, or do you think that you can elevate more?

Nick Fletcher: Everyone is always at a point where they can elevate in my opinion... just some more than others. Me, at the moment I am at a level where I can beat most.... but I need to be at a level where I am beating EVERYONE. At the moment I am working on my wording mostly.

KempoMRK: When you say working on wording, do you mean you get a concept and reword it over and over until you think you've worded it perfect?

Nick Fletcher: Yep... i mean wording is the key to making a good punch into a great punch. Concepts are easy.

KempoMRK: Who do you think is the illest battler EVER?

Nick Fletcher: internet wise.... from what i've seen... MIMESIS

Predictions

LBL Championship Match: 1. Chrit (6-0) vs 2. John Hensley (3-0)

Ohh this should be good. Chrit dropped dope last week, he totally flawlessed So Rell’s pic and won pretty easily. Hensley beat Gopha easily as well, so this’ll be a nice battle. It’s hard to predict as well. If Chrit wants a pic battle then that’ll suit Hensley as well, and would be dope. I just think that if Hensley really wants it, which he probably will cos it’s a champ match, then he’ll win it. So I see Hensley winning this.

LBL Contendership Match: 3. Daubs (7-4) vs 4. Shake-zula (4-0) vs 5. Nick Fletcher (7-4)

This is gonna be hot as well. All 3 dropped pretty nice last week, Nick dropped best out of the 3. Only reason Daubs and Shake are both here though is cos Shake won but didn’t vote and Daubs did so I gave both wins. Shake is pretty much the best battler in this but I see him slipping up by not voting, so that’d leave it between Daubs and Nick and I think Nick really wants the title so I’d say Nick will win if Shake doesn’t vote.

6. N.Tavarez (3-0) vs 7. JTR (6-3)

Battle of two RapVerse legends. JTR must be hungry to win this otherwise he’ll be really hitting himself for not voting in the two contendership battles he’s been in, as he expected himself to be battling for the title by now but he’s slipped up for whatever reason. Tavarez dropped better than JTR last week though and for that reason I’m gonna predict him. But it could go either way as both are nice and will really want to win.

8. Monsieur (2-1) vs 9. SPuL (2-1)

Another good battle. Monsieur dropped pretty cool last week, where as SPuL really shouldn’t have won in my eyes. SPuL can probably pull this win out though as he’s more polished than Monsieur it seems, and he also has the homesite and known name edge. So I’m gonna predict SPuL.

10. So Rell (7-4) vs 11. Gopha (2-1)

This should be pretty nice as well. Gopha dropped cool last week, I dunno who he is but he dropped nice and Rell dropped pretty hot as well. I think Rell is just a bit better though, but it could again go either way. I predict Rell to win this though by a couple of votes.

12. Precize (2-0) vs 13. Butler (2-0)

Butler murdered Led Poetic’s pic last week, and I see him doing the same to Precize this week as long as he tries. Butler should really win this though, if he doesn’t then he’ll have to really fuck up not to as this should be fairly elementary to him, no offence to Precize.

14. Erel Avent (2-0) vs 15. Wicked One (2-2)

Erel is just plain better than Wicked. That’s all there is to it, this should be an easy win for Erel if he shows and votes.

16. Chris Stylez (5-6) vs 17. Makaveli Trained (1-1)

Props to Chris for staying in the league for all this time to elevate, he ain’t done great in the league but he’s getting better. Just spend a lot of time over your verse, try and work out a style and reword concepts a lot to try and find the best way of wording it. Makaveli is better than Chris though, so he should win this.

18. Raw King (1-2) vs 19. Opus Dei (1-0)

Opus is pretty nice, I dunno who he is but apparently he’s an alias. Raw King is aight but he’s gonna get flawlessed pretty hard in this battle, as his style ain’t what people wanna really see and he just ain’t as good as Opus.

20. E.C (1-0) vs 21. Serbness (1-0)

Should be pretty close. E.C is generally considered better than Serbness, and he’s quite known on RapVerse. He should win but he’ll have to try as I’m sure throughout all his time in this league I can’t remember a verse of his that’s gonna over 10 lines. So yeah, E.C try!

22. Anov L. Idea (1-0) vs 23. SlicKnife (1-0)

Anov dropped alright last week, but what he did drop ain’t enough to beat SlicKnife. Slic rejoined the league last week after a few week hiatus and when he was in the league previously, he got to the contendership match immediately. He’s nice and should get this easy.

24. Ion W. Yuu (1-0) vs 25. Rush Lingo (5-5)

Rush dropped nice last week and was unlucky to lose by so many, where as Ion dropped a decent punch or two in his verse. Rush should flawless this and win pretty easily.

27. Roger Glocks (2-1) vs 28. Jae Brix (4-4)

Brix is pretty decent and is elevating by the week, but he ain’t as good as Glocks. Glocks lost quite badly last week but I thought he won. As long as he tries quite hard here then he’ll win this.

29. T.r.oo.P (1-2) vs 30. Pictureperfect2 (1-2)

Pictureperfect is another who I thought should have won last week where as Troop got beat pretty easily. Picture should win this if he drops a couple of nice punches as Troop still seems a bit rusty and he needs to sort his style out badly.

31. Led Poetic (1-1) vs 32. Faime S. Quotez (0-2)

I left Led in as it seems like he was gonna drop a verse but was shook by what Butler dropped, which ain’t surprising really. Faime didn’t drop at all nice last week and got beat easily by Chris Stylez, so Led should win this quite easy.

33. Yung Impression (0-2) vs 34. .TeamOne. (0-3)

TeamOne got beat by a lot last week by Raw King, so Yung should beat TeamOne by quite a lot. It don’t seem like Team is really trying but he’ll have to if he don’t wanna have a shitty record. Yung should win this.

35. TayTay (0-1) vs 36. Nino Brown (0-1)

TayTay’s not a bad battler, where as Nino ain’t that great. From what I’ve seen of TayTay on other site’s and stuff he’ll win.

37. Muffy (0-0) vs 38. Ghost W. Riter (0-0)

Muffy is nice, he’s won quite a few tournaments over at 411Hype and done well in leagues all over. I can’t remember him ever winning a league though except the HBL, so he should be hungry to try and win this league. I dunno who Ghost is but he seems confident. Yet Muffy is nice so he should win.

39. Ace Heratoga (0-0) vs 40. rexless (0-0)

rexless is a newb basically, or so it seems from how he types, his sig, his crew etc etc. Ace is pretty nice, yet I’m curious how his style will go over on this site. He’ll win though even if voters hate his style.

41. da sein (0-0) vs 42. Nasdeey (0-0)

I dunno who Nasdeey is at all, never heard of him. Could be an alias or just a newb or whatever. So Sein should win. And he will.

43. Catastrophe (0-0) vs 44. \/ali/> (0-0)

I’ve seen Catastrophe over at RapExclusive and he’s pretty nice. Iono who the fuck \/ali is, that’s gonna get annoying to type. He’ll probably no-show. But either way Catastrophe should win.

45. Apostrophe (0-0) vs 46. Jonathon (0-0)

I don’t really know either of these. Jonathon is over at RB though and I think he’s been in LLL so he must be half decent. Apostrophe seems to have been on RV for a while but he got caught having people like Mimesis ghostwriting for him in KORV3, so I dunno if he only got quite far in KORV cos of that. So I’m gonna predict Jonathon to win.

47. Technical (0-0) vs 48. Hell Yeah (0-0)

I dunno who Hell Yeah is, his name seems like an alias though. Technical ain’t great, so I’m gonna predict Hell Yeah to win.

49. Mets (0-0) vs 50. drty (0-0)

The return of Mets. In the only verse he dropped he got verse of the week so he’s nice, no doubt. I ain’t a clue who drty is, but with a name like that he can’t be all that great. Mets will win this.

Don’t Sleep On

Mets – He’s nice and is back in the league after a short break, will be in the champ match at some point as long as he tries and votes.

Muffy – Someone you may not know if you don’t venture outside of RapVerse, but he’s been all over. At Rapmusic, B-Boys and 411Hype and he’s done well at all of those sites.

SlicKnife – Did well in the league last time, and should do this time. But it’s a tossup over whether or not he can handle the stronger competition now that the league is much better.

Rush Lingo – He’s getting better by the week, and if you’re battling him, DON’T let his record fool you. He’s finally starting to really shake off the rust and he’s been coming nice for the past few weeks now.

Monsieur – I dunno who he is, but whoever he is he’s pretty nice. Usually has a couple of dope punches mixed in with a few average ones and one or two weak ass ones. So he’s gotta work on consistency in his verses but once he does he’ll be right up in the rankings.

Roger Glocks – I thought he won last week but the voters disagreed. He’s nice, nothing much else to say about it.

So Rell – Has to still prove himself against stronger opposition but he’s definitely pretty nice, as he’s proved by getting to two champ matches. Just needs an extra bit to really become dope.

Ace Heratoga – He’s creative and he was in the league I used to run over at Emcee Forums and he champed that league a few times really easily. Whether or not his style goes over well will be the defining factor though as he has punches that I used to hate, but people at Emcee Forums used to love and vice versa. So he just needs to adjust to this site.

Pictureperfect2 – Bit of a wildcard, but I thought two of his punches last week warranted this spot. He’s one who seems like he’s gonna really improve over the coming weeks, so don’t sleep definitely.

Top 10 Power Rankings

10. Erel Avent – As long as he tries and votes he’ll be up the rankings for sure. Nice battler and has champed the HBL a couple of times, with a 9-0 record at one point. Definitely not one to sleep on.

9. Butler – When he gets higher in the rankings, he’ll shoot up the power rankings. He dropped dope as hell last week and he should beat Precize, if he does that then he’ll prob have So Rell, which he should win, which would result in him probably having Erel Avent in the contender match which he should win and then its hard to tell who in the champ match, maybe Hensley. Yeah, I think ahead. But Butler is nice and a definite champ contender.

8. SPuL – He’s a proven nice battler, who didn’t drop great last week but still won. Voters like him and he’s the KORV3 champ. Could and probably will be in the contender match next week.

7. JTR – Just behind Tavarez as he could definitely win their battle, as both are capable of beating the other. It’s just a matter of who tries hardest. Like Tavarez, he could be in the contendership match next week.

6. N.Tavarez – Had a hot battle with Glocks last week which the voters thought he won pretty easily, and has a hard battle against JTR this week. Voters seemed to really like his verse last week, so if he drops the same against JTR he could well be in the contendership battle next week.

5. Daubs – Prob one of the most underrated in the league in my opinion, as he keeps getting matched up against dope people. This week is no exception either, as he’s gotta get through Nick Fletcher AND Shake-Zula. He could just do it though, but he’ll have to try really hard.

4. Nick Fletcher – Never one to sleep on as he generally comes hot whether he tries or not. He just has nice creativity and generally drops at least one real fresh concept a verse. Could be in the champ match next week but he’ll have to really try.

3. Shake-Zula – If he tries and votes then he really should be in the champ match next week, cos he’s dope. Multiple time WBL and PRBA champion and has won the RBL before I believe.

2. John Hensley – Has a chance to become the champ this week and could definitely take it. He’s definitely dope and as long as he shows and votes he has a huge chance to become the 3rd ever champ.

1. Chrit – No doubt, he’s 6-0 and he dropped hot last week. He’s got a real hard battle against Hensley this week, so we’ll have to wait and see if he can retain his title but he’s undoubtedly the number one at the moment.

Outro

This league is now looking certifiably dope. We’ve got dope battlers, we’re having dope battlers and just look at how many top punches we’re now consistently getting. Everything is looking great at the moment. The only thing I can say is, make sure you vote! Cos I really don’t like giving people losses when they don’t vote, especially when they’ve dropped a nice verse and are winning by a lot. But anyway. Some real nice battles are set for this week, so don’t disappoint. If you want a battle for the LBL June Event, just drop a post.
