Intro

Another bad week as usual. So many no-shows. I’m trying my hardest to find a positive thing in the league to focus on but it’s hard to. Anyway, this week. D.Stroyer got banned for biting, fucking idiot. Te Ora made it to the champ match for this week. We’ve got a nice battle in the contendership match this week with Chrit vs Sonny Dimebags, that should be good. And the title match is looking nice. Apart from that, not much else to say. Stanza went on a bitchfest about him losing to Sonny, which was obviously the case but he didn’t think so. Nothing else, on to the cypher.

Terrible cypher. I only liked 1 bar in the whole thing and that was from Chrit. So Chrit gets the win. Peep his bar:

Eh cypher again. Untold came in at the end and won it pretty easily though. He had some pretty cool lines that hit nicely. So he gets the win. Check his bars:

LBL Championship Match: 1. Roger Glocks (13-1) vs 2. D.Stroyer (3-1)

D.Stroyer got caught biting which resulted in him being banned and losing the battle. Roger Glocks won.

LBL Contendership Match: 3. Te Ora (5-2) vs 4. Lampejo (9-5)

Eh, pretty onesided. Te Ora dropped and his verse was pretty average. I’ve seen better stuff from him. He had a Y-Front bar that was clever and fresh, I liked it. And an extensions bar that was a nicely worded flip on a played concept. Lamp dropped and his verse wasn’t as good. He had a hard bar that was cool, but apart from that I wasn’t feeling much else. He needs to link his setups into the punch more as well, most of his setups are just random stuff to rhyme. Link the setups and the punches will be a lot better. Te Ora won 2-1.

5. Cal (2-0) vs 6. Cocaine (2-0)

Double no-show which is dope. Sets up Sonny vs Chrit in the contendership battle.

7. Joe Native (1-1) vs 8. Chrit (2-0)

First off, Joe thought that Chrit was gonna no-show so he dropped a pretty much no-show/rushed verse. Face the fax bar was alright though. Chrit dropped with 4 minutes to spare and well, he did what he had to. He had a native bar, playing off the fact that Chrit was called native, that was pretty cool. Chrit did what he had to win really, and he won 6-0.

9. Sonny Dimebags (13-6) vs 10. Stanza (6-8)

Stanza dropped first and he didn’t drop great. He had a PS2-step your game up bar that was cool though, it made me laugh. Sonny dropped and his verse was clearly pretty rushed, a lot of played and simple stuff but it was worded so that it was better than Stanza’s stuff basically. Easy battle to vote on, Sonny took this comprehensively and won 7-0.

11. Rush Lingo (1-0) vs 12. So Rell (1-0)

Rush Lingo no-showed. So Rell won.

13. Comedian (3-0) vs 14. Luciano (1-0)

Luciano no-showed. Comedian won.

15. Alzwords Write (1-0) vs 16. Out Writechas (1-0)

Out Writechas no-showed. Alzwords Write won.

17. Rap Disciple (1-0) vs 18. SL.Valentino (1-0)

Both battlers are in the newb stage of battling at the moment. Where they’ve got down structure and stuff, but punches are just generally trying to demean the other person, as opposed to doing it creatively. Rap Disciple dropped better here though, not by much though. SL still does the whole center his verses and make them green shit. Don’t do that, it makes you look like a newb. So yeah, Rap Disciple dropped better, he had a no contest bar that was pretty much the only creative concept in the battle. Rap Disciple won 5-0.

19. Sir Smash'Alot (1-0) vs 20. TEF (2-2)

Pretty onesided. TEF is more polished than Sir and is basically better. Sir is still seeming to get his style and stuff down, it’s clear he’s very new. TEF dropped a cool syrup bar that I liked, cept that though he didn’t have much else. Sir pretty much had nothing, keep trying though. Also Sir, you’ve gotta vote on 4 battles IN THE LEAGUE. Not in Front Lines or whatever its called here. Just a heads up for next week. TEF won 5-0.

Predictions

LBL Championship Match: 1. Roger Glocks (14-1) vs 2. Te Ora (6-2)

This should be nice. Both seem to drop pretty tight without really trying, so when they both try their hardest it should make for a nice battle. Roger has been on a roll, I don’t see him losing the title for a long time actually. I think he’s capable of beating anyone in the league. Te Ora is on the come up though after I ‘rescued’ him from Anotha.com. That said, Glocks has been around a lot longer, and he’s pretty much better than Te Ora. So Glocks should win this.

LBL Contendership Match: 3. Chrit (4-0) vs 4. Sonny Dimebags (14-6)

Cool battle here. If both try their hardest that is. Cos they’re both known for half-assing a lot. Yet neither should sleep on the other, that goes especially to Chrit. I dunno, this is hard to predict but I think Chrit will drop just enough to win.

5. So Rell (2-0) vs 6. Comedian (4-0)

So Rell will win even though his verse last week was pretty damn awful. But yeah, So Rell to win.

7. Alzwords Write (2-0) vs 8. Rap Disciple (2-0)

Alzwords will win this pretty easily.

9. Lampejo (9-6) vs 10. Joe Native (1-2)

Lampejo is pretty much the more polished and better battler here, he should win this but Joe could surprise him if he tries hard.

11. TEF (3-2) vs 12. Ace Heratoga (1-1)

Ace will win this easily. TEF is better than a lot of the newer people in the league, but Ace is a lot better than him.

13. Chris Stylez (1-0) vs 14. Phil Benjamin (1-0)

Phil will probably win this. Chris usually shows up for a week then no-shows. Where as Phil seems to be more dedicated and stuff. So Phil to win.

Stanza should win this. He’s better than Sir and I can’t see him losing here.

5. So Rell – Dropped shitty last week but I dunno if that’s cos he didn’t try or what. Will be in the contendership match next week though almost certainly.

4. Sonny Dimebags – Will need to try hard to beat Chrit. And if he wants to do that then he can’t drop anything like what he did last week.

3. Chrit – Seems to think that he’s gonna breeze through to the champ match but Sonny is in the way of that. He’ll have to drop a good verse to beat him.

2. Te Ora – Will need to try his hardest and drop his absolute best verse to beat Glocks. Whether or not he’s capable of that remains to be seen.

1. Roger Glocks – Breezed through his past title defences and I see him retaining again this week. Could hold on to the title for a long time.

Everyone just needs to step it up. Ignore all the no-shows and stuff, and just focus on what you’re writing. Drop the dopest verses you can. If you drop a tight verse then it’ll get archived in the wall of fame. Strive for that or the title or whatever. Just give me something to write positively about. 8 top punches? That’s awful. We used to have around 40 to 50 top punches a few months back. That’s all, peace.
