Intro

Yo. Dopeness this week, well done to everyone. The only disappointment was that the champ match didn’t go ahead, and ended up with no winner. Due to Hensley not voting and Chrit not being able to drop a verse. So that was whack, but the rest of the week wasn’t. We had some dope battles all round. The contender match was good with dope verses all round. Monsieur vs SPuL was good and very close, also a huge upset in the win as well as Monsieur won. Gopha also upset So Rell by quite a lot, winning 4-1 or 5-1 in the end. Butler wins again, sweeeeping the votes. Erel Avent moves up. So yeah, a good week overall. Voting was at an all time high and there wasn’t many no-shows at all. So props for that.

Tag Team Tournament III

Ooh yeah, its here for the third time. As of when Strobe puts the forum up, sign ups will be open. This will be a 16 team tournament as I don’t think we will get anymore. So sign up quickly and sign up with your partners name. So if I signed up I’d put “KempoMRK and Rush Lingo” for example. This tournament will finish for sure so don’t worry. Just make sure you drop ya verses and vote. I’ll be doing mags for this after each round also, so watch out for those. They’ll basically be like the mags I do for this league, so be assured that they’ll be dope So yep. Watch out for it!

LBL Championship Match: 1. Chrit (6-0) vs 2. John Hensley (3-0)

This was probably the nicest battle I have ever read. No really. They were super nice to each other. Chrit showed and was like “Hey John mate, wanna go 20?” and Hensley was like “Yeah that’s fine, you don’t happen to have a picture do you?”, “Yes John, I have hundreds! Do you have any John? Any that haven’t been used by others, because COM played your current one out lots!”, “Oh sure mate, I can upload one right now for you!”, “Thankyou mate, but I’ll need an extension, is that ok John?”, “Oh sure it’s ok, just post whenever you feel like it!”, “Oh I’m sorry John I’m having a big fight tonight and I won’t be able to post. Make sure you don’t waste lines! Good luck holding the title John”, “Thanks Chrit! Good luck in your fight tonight, hope you batter him right up chum!”. Hensley didn’t vote, Chrit didn’t post a verse, double loss.

LBL Contendership Match: 3. Daubs (7-4) vs 4. Shake-zula (4-0) vs 5. Nick Fletcher (7-4)

This was a pretty decent battle. Quite a lot of played stuff from Daubs and Nick though, but they worded it well so it was cool. Nick’s mic line was cool, well worded. As well as the arse line which was dope. Daubs had the drop links bar, that was dope. Hot personal. The mag thread bar was decent as well. Flirt with dick riders was ok, but too played. Shake had the picked a winner, 8 lines-inconsistency and record bars. They were all hot. This battle was close between Shake and Nick, with Daubs basically out of it. But Shake ended up winning 4-3. Nice battle overall.

6. N.Tavarez (3-0) vs 7. JTR (6-3)

JTR posted 6, yes only 6, all recycled lines. Tavarez called him on it at the start of his verse and ended up winning something like 18-0 lmao. This battle was ridiculous, a waste of time really. I guess they’re bored of battling each other or something.

8. Monsieur (2-1) vs 9. SPuL (2-1)

This was another very close battle. It was an ok battle, but I thought that Monsieur won pretty easily. SPuL dropped some weird ass shit, like this bar which everyone was quoting:

The hook thing was odd cos it came out of nowhere so it made no sense. It’s like me saying “Yo, yeah this battle was dope but SPEAKERS AND BASS”. I wasn’t feeling his verse much at all really. Monsieur came better. He had the vice versa line which was hot and the 9 bar was pretty decent. Monsieur ended up winning 9-7, 8-7 or 7-6 based on discounted votes and stuff lol.

10. So Rell (7-4) vs 11. Gopha (2-1)

This was a nice battle. Gopha dropped first and came nice. He’s like the up and comer of this league at the moment, one to watch definitely. The lowes bar was pretty decent, diggin trenches was nice, pilaf was dope and real fresh and floor-ride was fucking ill. Rell had the curse of the babe and the sob stories bars, they were hot. But Gopha ran away with it in the end winning 4-1. Watch out for Gopha, he’s coming up. Those floor-ride and pilaf bars show it, mad fresh.

12. Precize (2-0) vs 13. Butler (2-0)

This was a good battle also, albeit one sided. Precize came pretty good, he uses too many similes though, that’s what really hurts his verses. Vary it up a bit. Stretched lines was good, LP was dope and so was Blair Witch. But Butler just killed it. His verse was pretty much a comedy verse and it was hilarious from start to finish. Struggle was dope, fuckup was dope, canvas was dope, number 1 was dope, non-prescription was hilarious and love is blind was decent. Butler will be champ soon if he keeps this up. Butler won 11-0.

14. Erel Avent (2-0) vs 15. Wicked One (2-2)

Wicked One no-showed. Erel Avent won.

16. Chris Stylez (5-6) vs 17. Makaveli Trained (1-1)

Uh, awful battle. Makaveli had the CS bar which was ok. Chris had the SPuL bar which was ok. Makaveli won this 7-0.

18. Raw King (1-2) vs 19. Phryme (1-0)

Raw King has an awful style. He needs to really change it up. It’s like an audio friendly, weak style that just doesn’t cut it. Most of his punches are filler really, so sort that out. He didn’t come good at all. Phryme came a lot better. The Ra bar was pretty hot. The raw meat line was dope. In the end Phryme won something like 6-0.

20. E.C (1-0) vs 21. Serbness (1-0)

Serbness no-showed. E.C won.

22. Anov L. Idea (1-0) vs 23. SlicKnife (1-0)

This was quite an upset, well sort of as neither won. But the votes stood with Anov winning pretty easily, like 5-0 or something. I didn’t expect that as I thought SlicKnife would win by a lot. Yet neither voted, so neither won. Dumb really.

24. Ion W. Yuu (1-0) vs 25. Rush Lingo (5-5)

Ion showed up late and Rush Lingo got the win.

27. Roger Glocks (2-1) vs 28. Jae Brix (4-4)

Brix dropped 28 lines when he posted, and as he posted first Glocks had to match. So as Glocks said, EPIC lol. Brix posted ok, he’s another who uses too many similes. His wording is just off. Q cards was hot though and the R Glocks nameplay was pretty decent. Glocks didn’t drop like I expected him to. His Brix opener was dope though, but wtf is up with bolding your wordplay words? That shit is newbish, drop it man. That was all I was feeling from him though, prob the amount of lines that hurt him. But Glocks got this easily and won 10-1.

29. T.r.oo.P (1-2) vs 30. Pictureperfect2 (1-2)

This was quite close in voting, and it was the first battle in ages that I had to cast the deciding vote to. But I thought pictureperfect got it quite easily, although Troop came pretty decent. Much better than he has in previous weeks.

31. Led Poetic (1-1) vs 32. Faime S. Quotez (0-2)

Led no-showed. Faime S. Quoetz won.

33. Yung Impression (0-2) vs 34. RobKilla (0-3)

This was a pretty weak battle. Short as well. Yung dropped first with 6 lines, but I thought he thought Rob was no-showing hence the not dropping so good. Rob dropped better, the snicker bar was dope and prob won him this. Rob won 6-1.

35. TayTay (0-1) vs 36. Nino Brown (0-1)

TayTay no-showed. Nino Brown won.

37. Muffy (0-0) vs 38. Ghost W. Riter (0-0)

Silly Muffy! When I was closing threads I saw that Muffy was on AIM and hadn’t voted, so I sent him a message saying he could vote now if he wanted the win. And he said no! But yeah, Muffy recycled a load of lines and should have won but he didn’t vote, so he didn’t win. Morale of the story, if you haven’t voted and you get given the chance to vote, VOTE!

39. Ace Heratoga (0-0) vs 40. rexless (0-0)

rexless came super stretched. All his punches were stretched really, nothing of note. He needs to sort his style out, it definitely ain’t liked here. Ace dropped ok, nothing special though but he had the sleep on his stomach bar which was hot. Ace won this easily 10-0.

This battle was okish. Sein dropped first and came with an ok verse, tape deck was decent as was illmatic. Nasdeey had the clone bar, that was decent. Yet it was a pretty clear winner and Sein got this 5-1 in the end. Props to nasdeey though as his verse was aight.

Rush Lingo: Lay stopped giving me credit so i set him up and just decided tolet everyone know in an AIM convo. which i gave to Quote. and he used it in the battle. me, and a dude named Daz wrote Ambience's verse.. Lay used lines i gave him in an AIM convo

KempoMRK: yoooo. Nothing. Just listening to my audio's from my first to my last, I like checking elevation lol

Rush Lingo: i feel you kid. how long you been writing?

Rush Lingo: txting?

KempoMRK: Since May last year. I wrote my first rhyme on some graphics board weirdly. Some dude showed me his verse and I was like fuck outta here I can write better than that. So I wrote a verse and my friends were creaming their pants over it and so was this dude, so I obviously thought I was dope. Then I wrote a like 93 line verse about going to a McDonalds drive-thru that I thought was whack so I thought I lost it lol. Thennn I signed up to B-Boys, posted them, got 1 reply and the dude said I was whack.

Rush Lingo: lmfao@ mcdonalds. that's weird. but i hear you do audio, so what made you make the transition from txt to audio?

KempoMRK: I ain't made a transition as such, as I still text. But I'd wanted to do audio for a while, I just had a shitty mic. So I got some help from some people like Danzeil and dudes on boards and I got a Shure SM58 and this Behringer mixer. My setup is decent enough, ain't amazing quality but it'll do. And yeah, I'm starting to elevate at audio finally. It's fun, the rush of making a track you think is nice is cool. Even if I ain't gonna be making dope tracks for a while.

Rush Lingo: jeah.. what were some of your influences when it came to writing?

KempoMRK: Text or audio?

Rush Lingo: both.

KempoMRK: Text, I dunno. I didn't really have any at first cos I was just doing stuff on my own, but I was influenced by the B-Boys style. I remember I used to go to a shitty proboard and they all had their ~~~{}//\\\//\}{[]~~~ wordplay stuff and I hated that. So I stayed true to the B-Boys style and still do. I guess Fracture is prob a recent influence as his short sharp wording is what I've been using lately. In audio, I don't have any influences really. I just try and be myself even if I do still sound slightly American lol

Rush Lingo: word up.. speaking of America, where you rest at?

KempoMRK: Hampshire, England. I live in a dope place, seems like a huge contrast to where you're at. As my life is pretty easy to be totally honest, the worst part about it is working on a Saturday for fuck sake.

Rush Lingo: we work here on Saturdays too you nut sack. but back to the net, how do you feel about YOUR league thus far?

KempoMRK: Oh yeah course you do, but my job sucks the ass. And I feel that my league is fucking dope. I remember on RapVerse I read constant threads with people being all like "Ah this site sucks cos there's no league on there". So I'd had it in my mind that I wanted to run a league on RV when I was running my shite league over at Emcee Forums. And yeah, it's gone better than I could have hoped.

Rush Lingo: word i would have to agree. as far as other leagues. how do you feel about them?

KempoMRK: I think my league is better lol. I think LBL is way better than PRBA, that's looking whack at the moment. It's better than RBL, cos RBL is a tournament now. LLL hasn't been run greatly recently, at least from what I've checked, but it is probably more popular. And the HBL is just shite. So yeah, I'd say the LBL is definitely one of the best leagues on the net, and it's only been open 13 weeks. The amount of talent in it at the moment is great.

KempoMRK: My leagues are run with everything being done on time in mind. And as long as you do that on a decent site then the league will get good on its own. Running a league is a piece of piss in my opinion. So I don't see why so many people are shit at it. Mags are very important to leagues also, especially regular full length ones.

Rush Lingo: i agree.

Rush Lingo: would you ever sign up for your own league?

KempoMRK: Nah. I'd end up being partial to myself and unconsciously fiddling the rankings so that I get easy matches and shit lol. Only way I'd enter the league was if I had another mod to sort of moderate me lol. And I ain't that great a battler anyway so it don't bother me.

Rush Lingo: i see. this may seem like a dumb question, but would you rather be considered a great MODERATOR or a great BATTLER. i'd like to say theres competition with them both.

KempoMRK: Nah, it's a cool question. I think David Lama is the person who would most fit that. As he is a very good battler, but that gets overshadowed by the fact he's a dope mod. I'd rather be considered a great battler, but that ain't happening for the time being so I'm happy being considered a great mod lol. But it's cool when I see people on other boards complimenting my league. Like I saw some dude on RapBattles who I haven't a clue who he is, like saying my league was really well run with dope mags and stuff. That's cool to me. But seeing someone saying "Ah Kempo is a dope battler" would be better, but as I said that ain't happening for a while.

Rush Lingo: how do you feel about the PEOPLE in your league?

KempoMRK: Doooope. I was talking to a dude yesterday and he said "your league is good because it has a mix of everyone. it has the dope people, the people who think they're dope but are shit, the people who are on the verge of dope, all different sites are in it and then you also have the newbs to son". So I think thats what makes my league unique. It's a mix of everyone and if you really wanna prove yourself as a great battler, then you should cater to everyone bar like people from HollaFront.

Rush Lingo: what are some of your favorites on the league?

KempoMRK: Hensley, Mets, Shake-Zula, Butler, Nick Fletcher, Glocks, Erel Avent, Phryme. And I thought Mimesis was dope when he was in the league. Tavarez, JTR, SlicKnife and Daubs I also feel. But they're not all that consistent to me. And I think you've come a long long way since you first joined the league, I enjoy your verses now. JUST GOES TO SHOW THE LEAGUE CAN BE USED AS ELEVATION.

Rush Lingo: who you think has the greatest potential?

KempoMRK: Hmm, hard one. I'd say someone who's reasonably new. Roger Glocks, Phryme, SlicKnife, Daubs and Gopha all have potential. Gopha is the newest and he beat Rell pretty easily last week. But Glocks has only been doing this for a year or so and he's pretty dope. Phryme is improving by the week, I remember I was talking to David Lama about the same question and he mentioned that Phryme would be one of the people to come up in 2006. Seems like he's fulfilling that.

Rush Lingo: care to give your top 5, 1- 5 in order?

KempoMRK: Top 5 battlers in the league?

2. Butler
3. Shake-zula
4. Mets
5. Nick Fletcher

KempoMRK: I think Nick has mad potential as well. His concepts are crazy fresh most of the time and he generally always has 3 top punches. Usually near the top 5 punches also.

KempoMRK: And yeah I'm kinda partial to B-Boys. N.Tavarez and JTR follow, but they can drop whack one week and dope the next in my eyes. Like JTR got verse of the week easily one week and it was a doooope verse, same with Tavarez I believe yet over the past couple of weeks they haven't really impressed me all that much. But they're dope still. And generally still win lol.

Rush Lingo: anyone you would want in your league that isn't in?

KempoMRK: Yeah. Mimesis for a start, he's still technically undefeated. People like Richard Corey, Classick etc to really bring some credibility to the league. As those people are rarely in any leagues other than the RBL or WBL so it'd be dope to have them in mine. And people from RapBattles to bring credibility from that side, like Mystery Murder, Spitacular etc. I just want this league's future to be rock solid ya know.

Rush Lingo: so kemp, tell us about your txt history

KempoMRK: Welll. As I said I started on B-Boys in like May 2005. I had shitty battles but I managed to get an ok record after a couple of months. After that I went to some shitty proboard and battled there quite regularly for a couple of months before I got pissed at a battle I lost and got pissed at them, which inadvertently resulted in the death of the board lol. Then I started signing up everywhere. 411hype, rapmusic, rapverse, emcee forums, rap leagues, blunts, rhyme n reason, micstage, hhd. I have an account on so many forums. I signed up to a couple of leagues and did pretty shitty in them. Leagues were like RBL and HBL. Then I took over a league at Emcee Forums called the EBL which I ran nicely, but the site was so small I could never get it over 30 people. But that made me enjoy running leagues. Errm...I still ain't at the level I wanna be in text. I can beat good people sometimes but my consistency sucks ass.

Rush Lingo: have you ever won any championships anywhere?

KempoMRK: Yeah. I won the tag team title's with you over at RapWorld. I was pretty happy with my verses there. That was the first time I'd written for like 20-30 line battles which I didn't think I could do before that. Apart from that, nada. I'm very much a midway kinda battler at the moment lol. I can beat average people and sometimes decent people, but never dope people.

Rush Lingo: i get you.. you ever plan on joining a league in the future?

KempoMRK: Oh wait I won the middleweight and lightweight titles in LLL Jr and got to the champ match, that's the highest I've been in a league. I'm joined up to the REBL at the moment on RapExclusive, it's a smallish league but has some nice people in it. I think a good league is hard to come by at the moment. LLL you can't sign up for. RBL is a tournament now. PRBA isn't great, and I can never seem to write nice for it anyway. HBL is still in a stage of whackness, and if you vote against people in it and say you don't like their verse, they call you whack. Which makes me sad :-(

KempoMRK: In the future, hmm. I'll prob join LLL as people at RB seemed to think I was pretty good. And that league is nice. I also like it how they talk about everything as well, I like getting props from people who aren't the mag writer.

KempoMRK: lol that's a hard question. I really dunno the answer. But I think audio is more long term, you've gotta put in more effort to become good at it than text. So it's hard to compare at the moment after only like 4 months of audio and a year of text.

Predictions

LBL Championship Match: 1. Shake-zula (5-0) vs 2. N.Tavarez (4-0)

Ooh jeah. Two of the best from their respective boards come together to battle for the vacant title. Tavarez has the home site advantage but that kinda shit ain’t even really mattered about anymore. Shake is dope so it won’t bother him. On momentum I’d say Shake will get it as Tavarez hasn’t been dropping as well as he can. I’m sure he’ll drop his best though in this, but I still think if Shake tries his hardest he’ll get it. It’ll be close though.

LBL Contendership Match: 3. Monsieur (3-1) vs 4. Gopha (3-1)

Two basically unknowns in the contendership battle, but it’s nothing to worry about as they’re both good. Gopha dropped dope with some ill as fuck concepts last week and Monsieur dropped good against SPuL. I think that based off last weeks performance Gopha will win this, as the pilaf and floor-ride bars were really dope and better than what Monsieur had. It’ll be a good battle though, close probably as well.

5. Butler (3-0) vs 6. Erel Avent (3-0)

This’ll be dope. Butler has got verse of the week for 2 weeks running now so he’s on fire. Where as Erel hasn’t really had much to get motivated about as such, and last week was a free week for him but he dropped nice in the cypher. Yet I don’t think it will come down to that, as butler is pretty much better than Erel. Erel’s dope, but I don’t think he’s on Butler’s level.

7. Makaveli Trained (2-1) vs 8. Phryme (2-0)

This’ll be an easy win for Phryme. Makaveli dropped awful last week, I’m pretty sure he drops better over at RB though so he could drop better this week. But Phryme is better than him anyway, so he should win this fairly comprehensively.

9. Chrit (6-1) vs 10. Nick Fletcher (7-4)

The 9 vs 10 battles are always good and this week is no exception. Chrit is coming off a loss because he couldn’t post, so he’ll be hungry to move back up the rankings. But Nick is anything but a push over and he’s also hungry to move up the rankings. I dunno, this’ll be really close but I think Chrit will edge it.

11. John Hensley (3-0) vs 12. Daubs (7-5)

Daubs is a good battler and he’s improving by the week but he ain’t on Hensley’s level. As long as Hensley votes not many can fuck with him in this league, so he should get the win fairly easily here. It’ll be a good battle though, but Daubs just ain’t got the experience really.

13. E.C (2-0) vs 14. Rush Lingo (6-5)

E.C is a pretty decent battler but Rush has been improving by the week. He started off dropping awful to start with then over the weeks he’s been in the league he has steadily improved to the point where he’s nice. I think Rush’ll win this, as long as he comes how he has been he should get it.

15. Roger Glocks (3-1) vs 16. pictureperfect2 (2-2)

pictureperfect is on the come up at the moment, as he’s dropped well for the past couple of weeks. And where as Glocks didn’t drop so good in my opinion last week, he’s the better battler out of the two. I think as long as the battle stays at a low amount of lines, and Glocks drops that stupid bolding stuff, Glocks should get this battle. It’ll be pretty good though.

17. Faime S. Quotez (1-2) vs 18. Nino Brown (1-1)

Neither are very good but I think Nino is better. Neither stick out in my mind though so I could be wrong. So I’m gonna predict Nino to win.

19. Ghost W. Riter (1-0) vs 20. Ace Heratoga (1-0)

I think it’ll take Ace a little bit to get used to battling again, as he ain’t battled for a while but he’s better than Ghost. Ace had the dick riding bar last week which was hot and as long as he can drop stuff like that again this week he’ll win.

21. da sein (1-0 vs 22. Catastrophe (1-0)

Both are pretty decent, yet Catastrophe got a no-show win last week and didn’t vote. So whether or not he’ll vote could decide on him getting the win as this’ll be close, so vote! But I think people felt sein’s verse last week so I can see sein winning this also.

23. Jonathon (1-0) vs 24. Mets (1-0)

Jonathon came ok last week, his verse was kinda blandish though. But he’s pretty decent. Yet he ain’t on Mets level. Mets should slaughter this as he’s dope and from what I’ve seen of Jonathon, which albeit ain’t much, Mets is better.

25. Hell Yeah (1-0) vs 26. JTR (6-4)

Hell Yeah got the no-show win last week and JTR dropped recycled shit last week. So neither had a proper battle. So I still don’t really know what Hell Yeah is like, but from what he dropped in the cypher (I think he dropped in the cypher) JTR’ll win.

27. So Rell (7-5) vs 28. Precize (2-1)

Rell came off a probably unexpected loss last week against Gopha where as Precize has come off an expected one against Butler. Precize is decent but he overuses similes. Where as Rell has a more rounded style. I expect Rell to get this, althought it could be a good battle if both try.

29. Wicked One (2-3) vs 30. Chris Stylez (5-7)

Wicked One showed up late for his battle last week, which is why I kept him in, yet it’s obvious that he prob doesn’t really care about the league. Stylez’ll drop and as long as he votes he should win.

31. Raw King (1-3) vs 32. SlicKnife (1-1)

Raw King hasn’t been dropping great at all for the time he’s been in the league, so SlicKnife’ll win this. Slic didn’t drop great last week and lost a battle he probably should have won, but from what we’ve seen of him before he’s nice. He won the cypher also with some hot lines. So Slic to win this.

33. Ion W. Yuu (1-1) vs 34. Jae Brix (4-5)

Ion lost cos he posted late last week against Rush, but the verse I have seen from him wasn’t all that great. He may not be fucked about this battle either. Jae is decent, but he’s gotta work on his style and polish it up a bit more. Jae should win this though.

35. T.r.oo.P (1-3) vs 36. Led Poetic (1-2)

Led showed up late again last week, so I doubt he’ll care about this battle either. Troop dropped decent last week and barely lost, so either way Troop’ll win.

37. Muffy (0-1) vs 38. rexless (0-1)

Muffy lost cos he was dumb and didn’t vote when I gave him the chance. Rexless just got sonned. Muffy will win this easily if he shows and votes.

Flawlessing! Technical always dropped distinctly average from when he was in the league before and I don’t see this being any different. He didn’t even drop last week as he was super late. Fux is nice, I’ve read a couple of battles of his and he’s good. Fux’ll win this easy as long as he votes.

Iono who BoneCollector is. Ancel is pretty nice, I teamed with him at some tourney on another site and he’s a good battler. Whether or not he’ll show though I dunno. If he shows and votes he’ll win.

Fuck knows who The Real Talk is, he’ll no show. Malicious, iono who he is but he says he’s from RB, so hopefully he’s from like the LLL or something not frontlines. Malicious to win this.

Mercules – You may know him as merkowitzzz from whenever he was in the league before. But that was when he was dropping verses in like 5 minutes and not voting at all. This time, after my dope powers of persuasion to get him here, he assured me that he’d drop nice. So definitely watch out, ex-PRBA champ and one of the most improved battlers around.

Daubs – He’s had a haaaaard run in this league, like really hard. Check his list of opponents:

FuxJusAWord – Will be interesting to see if he still has it as I don’t think he’s battled for a while. Was dope when he was battling though.

Muffy – As long as he shows up he’ll win his battle this week. Has won countless tournaments, hot battler.

So Rell – Always a threat. If he can really get his style on lock he’ll be real dope, he just tends to suffer from some almost wishy washy wording lol. Still good though.

JTR – Was dumb to drop 6 recycled lines last week which effectively cost him the battle, but if he starts caring about the league again he can be a threat.

Mets – Last but definitely not least, this dude will be around the contender and champ match soon. Dooope.

Top 10 Power Rankings

10. Nick Fletcher – Has a hard battle this week against Chrit and if he wins that then he’ll probably have to battle Hensley lol. So that’s a hard couple of weeks for him but he’s a hot battler and could surprise us.

9. John Hensley – He seemed pretty annoyed about losing last week so that’s a sign he actually cares about this league, which I think will result in him now voting which is cool. Hensley will always be power ranked in any league he’s in, so there’s no change here. He’ll be champ soon.

8. Chrit – He’ll be hungry to get back to the title cos there’s a chance he could still have it now if he had been able to show. He’s hot and he’ll be right back up the rankings.

7. Phryme – He’ll almost certainly be in the contendership match next week as long as he doesn’t fuck up by not voting or dropping whack. He’s a good battler overall and has improved a lot lately.

6. Monsieur – In behind Butler and Erel cos I don’t see him beating Gopha. But there’s no doubt he’s a good battler and he seems like someone who can improve steadily by the week, so watch out in a few weeks. I still ain’t a clue who he is though.

5. Erel Avent – How he does this week against butler will be a true test for him in this league. I don’t think he’ll win but he could surprise us as Erel is dope. You don’t go 9-0 in any league without being dope, so yeah he could surprise us.

4. Butler – 2 weeks running he’s got verse of the week, and they’ve both been dooooope verses. He’ll be champ soon if he keeps voting and dropping hot.

3. Gopha – I would never have expected to see him here a couple of weeks back, but he dropped a hot verse last week with some mad fresh stuff. Let’s see if he can keep it up though, as consistency may be a problem for him.

2. N.Tavarez – Just coming in behind Shake, he also has a good chance to win the title. Yet he squeaked past JTR last week with a not great verse, but if he tries this week he’ll have a real chance at the title. He’s just gotta get past Shake lol.

1. Shake-zula – He’s the new number 1 even though he ain’t won the title yet, but if he beats N.Tavarez he’ll be the 3rd ever LBL champ. I think he will, but it could go either way.
