I started lost in the other world,
no sights we're seen or noises heard, until the echo returned
the speaker gave me subtle clues, not with the words he used
but the ones he didn't,

fuck it, that doesn't matter now. I can't say how, what or why,
loud, chilling cries from beyond force me to notice them
what else can I do? Cry? Die? I fear for my life
I tried to tell you how this happened, no time
I can't find existence in this void, do I follow the screams?
They are getting more regular, it seems I won't make it
wait, it can't be.. I hear it, I feel it, I take it I'm closer...
I've made it, I've found what I'd lost. The void is bare,
but I can enjoy the air, the real feel of life when it's there.
Nothing can stop it, closer it comes, sent across by the ghost of the sun
illumination on the horizon, over the hill, closer and closer but still
devoted by will, the peak is here, my speed is peaking my vision is speaking
I reach the top, still won't stop so I launched right off and into a cloud
look down and see no people around, I've flown so far
and I begin to descend, not harshly or abruptly, slowly and beautifully
I glide into freedom, I'm getting faster...
... I just remembered... What about everyone else?
I can hear them in my head still trapped in disaster..
