,, i really need help. haha ive recordd shit before..and it had good qaulity and sounded fine,, but im tryin to record soem shit now..and its just horrible..? i dont have an awsome mic..its a MXL 990 , but i mean it sounded good before.... and now im just gettin sitty quality and it sounds bad? you no anything i can do to it...or anything i can fuck with on audacity..that the program im usin right now..to make it sound better?? an dont be a douche bag an post stupid comments...im just tryin to do soemtyhing haha

mic to a preamp thing then the pc.... my friend gave me iot...i wasnt into audio until a lil bit ago... ha

i use to have the 990 , um sometimes u gotta adjust the Hi lows and Mids, usually if the mic sounds muddy adjust the high frequencies, raise em up to make it sound clearer. Not sure if that helps.

u jus need to learn how to mix ur shit........eq compression ect...all make a difference.....go read up on compression and equalization it should do u justice.....

honestly man 990s are inconsistent. I should know, i had one. cut my entire first CD on one, and NOBODY knew. but without years of engineering experience my suggestion is cash that shit in and get a C01u. you're not gonna find a better mic in your price range, and you can get one now for around $50.
or, when you're ready to sound pro, click the link in my sig and listen to what its like to sound like you're ready to be taken seriously. im really humble but honestly, im a fucking BEAST with it son. i can make even that shitty 990 sound great.
