Intro - A RL Edition


Yo, first of all I would like to take the time out to give a big thanks to Matt for letting me put out the mag this week. I mean, I had to give the man a break because he's been putting out magazine after magazine for some time now. Actually, he's been doing it the entire time besides the couple of weeks he left. So I figured.. why not do one myself, ya feel? Anyways, moving on to the GOOD stuff. This was a GOOD week. If you ask me, it could have been a lot better and a lot of people could have showed for their battles. I mean, the July Event looked promising, and yeah, some people did their things. But at the end of the week, it looked a little sloppy due to no shows. I mean we got some participation which is all that matters. As a matter of fact.. let's jump right into it.

Yep, there's been a couple additions added to the squad. Me, (rush lingo), and Appocolyptik will be helping KempoMRK with the league whenever he needs something done and can't do it. What can YOU do to help? Show for your battle and keep it dope!

July's Independence Week -

LBL Championship Match: 1. Butler (10-0) vs 2. Sonny Dimebags (5-1)

Alright now personally for a champ match.. ehh I don't think Sonny actually came with. Butler came with just enough to win it though. The prediction followed through like everyone thought and predicted. Butler just basicaly flawlessed the guy and kept the title and goes on to another week. He had some really good lines and shit as usual. He was overall just too much for Sonny to dry and take down as everyone thought in the beginning. Butler moves on. Congrats to Butler.

LBL Contendership Match: 3. SlicKnife (7-1) vs 4. Marcus Aurelias (3-2)

A big disapointment. What could've been a pretty good contendorship match turned out to be a no show on Marcus's behalf. Which resulted in SlicKnife winning and gaining a shot at Butler this week in the Championship match. Congrats duke.

Audio Battle - Ace Heratoga vs Daubs vs Tony Brown

Everyone basically no showed. Tony Brown didn't even check in. This is the shit that takes the fun out of even having an event.

Tag Battle - JTR & SPuL vs Nick Fletcher & Untold

So this was a pretty good match. JTR and Spul came nice, and so did Nick asnd Untold. All four battlers had some nice punches and some downers that weren't that great.. I voted on this but I really wasns't too sure as to who to vote for.. but in the end I voted for Spul and JTR cause they won it as a team. They ended up winning by one vote in the end giving them the win.

Basketball Battle - Out Writechas (Tracy McGrady) vs Roger Glocks (Vince Carter)

Roger Glocks checked in with hs verse and it was pretty good. Where as Out didn't even check in at all. Which is gay.. and lame. Roger Glocks wins.

Beef Battle - COM vs DaTrusHurtz

So this looked like it was going to be a good beef battle but turned out being ANOTHER big fat disapointment. COM showed late and Datrushurtz showed on time. I'm guessing that Datrushurtz didn't even give COM an extention whcih resulted in him winning the match.


Picture Battle - Chrit vs ClasSick

They both agreed to an extention. Result - double no show.

Random Picture Battle - Erel Avent vs Rush Lingo

Erel Avent no showed againt Rush Lingo after saying he was gonna post about 2000 times. Rush Lingo gets the W.

UK vs US Battle - KempoMRK vs So Rell

So Rell no showed.. resulting in KempoMRK winning the battle.

Weedhead Battle - JTR vs N.Tavarez

Finally. In the beginning this match seemed like it was going to be whack to me. I mean, weedhead? hah, I didn't even know what to think. Both guys ended up coming pretty nice.. in the beginning the votes looked like they were going to JTR, but then voters saw that Tavarez might have come harder.. and when the votes ended, N. Tavarez ended up winning in a hard fought match up.

5. Shake-Zula (9-2) vs 6. Erel Avent (7-1)
This was a really nice match right here. Both showed, and both did pretty well. Shake and Erel showed so that's a plus. Erel came aight but from the looks of it he didn't have enough firepower to overpower Shake. Shake came with a well-written verse that swept the votes giving him the win.

7. JTR (10-6) vs 8. Original (2-0)

This wasn't even close if you ask me. Original just wasn't prepared for this match right here. It looked like Original bit a line or something, but he wasn't banned. JTR ended up showing better and won 4-0.

9. Mercules (5-1) vs 10. N.Tavarez (8-2)

What looked like it was going to be a promising match turned out to be N. Tavarez no showing and saying he didn't have time for it or some shit. Mercules get's the no show win.


Bottom Matches -


11. Yung Impression (2-0) vs 12. SPuL (2-0)

Cool match here. I really thought that Yung should've won.. I thought Spul came extra played and extra lame but the votes said differently. Yung ended up losing and Spul wins, moving him up in the ranks.

13. Rush Lingo (8-5) vs 14. Phryme (5-1)

Would've been a pretty tight battle. But Phryme ended up no showing, making Rush Lingo win the battle.

15. rexless (3-4) vs 16. ClasSick (4-0)

Rexless no showed. Classick gets the win signing out at 5-0.

17. Feeble Minded (4-1) vs 18. Ill.Eyes (1-1)

Feeble no shows. Ill. Eyes wins the match.

19. Malicious (1-1) vs 20. Nash (1-0)

Weak ass battle.. Nash came extremely horrible and Malicious wasn't far behind him. But he came better, so he wins and goes up in the ranks.

21. Brock Sampson (1-0) vs 22. Nick Fletcher (1-0)

This was originally supposed to be Brock & So Rell but So Rell didn't want to do it.. so Nick filled in. Both dropped really weak and Nick says he didn't try which is possible.

23. Untold (3-1) vs 24. Nasdeey (3-4)

Untold no shows Nasdeey wins.

25. D.Stroyer (2-2) vs 26. Gopha (6-3)

Gopha no shows, D.Stroyer wins.

27. Defcon_5 (1-1) vs 28. Precize (1-1)

Defcon no shows, Precize wins.

29. Revelationz (1-1) vs 30. Euthanize (2-3)

Revelationz no shows, Euthanize wins.

31. Jonathon (0-2) vs 32. Ken `Pho (0-2)

Jonathon no shows, Ken `Pho wins.

Both showed and has a semi-decent battle. In the end Mystic came up winning the battle 7-4.. still was a rather weak batle though.

WillNova no shows, MarvJay wins.

37. Daubs (0-0) vs 38. LMAOffender (0-0)

This was a decent match. Daubs didn't show like I thought he would.. LMAOffender came a little less than weak in the battle and came up with the win.

39. Nbro (0-0) vs 40. ~Test~ (0-0)

Pretty weak battle. Weak lines thrown from both but Test had more that the voters were feeling. He comes up with the win.

41. L.I. (0-0) vs 42. Typical (0-0)

Typical no shows, L.I. wins.

43. B.I.Detained (0-0) vs 44. Czar Bishop (0-0)

B.I. Detained no shows, Czar Bishop wins.

45. pictureperfect2 (0-0) vs 46. Meters (0-0)

This was an okay battle. I think thast's the Meters from RB? I don't know though.. his verse showed differently. Picture came better getting the win, simple.

47. Jae Blockz (0-0) vs 48. Oz. (0-0)

It was a decent battle.. both seemed to have come with some aight material. Votes flurried back and forth bu Oz. ended up winning 5-2.

49. Wordz Ahgod (0-0) vs 50. LyricALI (0-0) vs 51. Penlord (0-0)

Turned out to be a 1 on 1 between Penlord and Wordz Ahgod because LyricALI got banned. Penlord noshowed, Wordz ahgod wins.

LBL Championship Match: 1. Butler (11-0) vs 2. SlicKnife (8-0)

Butler's on a roll. I mean SlicKnife MIGHT pull the upset if Butler underestimates him, but I honestly don't even see that happened. I see Butler keeping the title and SlicK going back. Butler's a monster lately, and I don't see shit changing yet.

LBL Contendership Match: 3. Shake-Zula (10-2) vs 4. JTR (12-6)

This should be a pretty good match considering Shake's a big head at bboys/pr and JTR is a big head over here at rv. I see Shake taking this though. After last week I think JTR might be out of his fire. Plus Shake wants a shot at the title and Butler. I got Shake winning this in a pretty nice match.

A lot of people are predicting Mercules.. but I'ma give this a toss up. Both can come good when they need to. SPul's more audio but Merc doesn't show to his capability most of the time. This will be a good match.

I don' think that Marcus is going to show becaus eif he took this serious he would have showed last week against SlicKnife. I see Sonny winning this just because he shows. If Marcus shows, this will be a some what nice match though.

11. Malicious (2-1) vs 12. Brock Sampson (3-0)

Wow. Uhh I don't really know Malicious plus he has really weak lines. Brock should take this rather easily with hard punches.

13. Nasdeey (4-4) vs 14. D.Stroyer (3-2)

I honestly don't pay attention to either but I think that Nasdeey is going to win because I think D. Stroyer said he was going out of town. Therefore he might no show so.. I'm going to go with Nasdeey.

15. Precize (2-1) vs 16. Euthanize (3-3)

Both cat's are decent. I won't eleborate on this match though.. I'm going to say Precize is going to edge it. He has wayyy better concepts if you ask me.

17. Ken `Pho (1-2) vs 18. Mystic (1-1)

Uhh I'm'a toss this one up too. Haven't read much from either one of them but Mystic won last week.. I've seen Ken arguing with a lot of people and he has enemies so they might vote against him lol. So I say Mystic to win this match.

19. MaRVJay (1-1) vs 20. LMAOffender (1-0)

Should be a cool match. I'm gonna say LMAOffender to win because he got a win over Daubs last week. MaRVJay isn't bad, but I'm not feeling his shit honestly. I go for LMAO.

21. ~Test~ (1-0) vs 22. L.I. (1-0)

L.I. is a legend on the site for whatever that means. Not feeling Test.. so I go for L.I.

23. Czar Bishop (1-0) vs 24. pictureperfect2 (1-0)

I think Picture beat Meters last week and I think that was the Meters from RB that used to be nice or whatever. I don't know Czar so I'm going for Picture.

25. Oz. (1-0) vs 26. Wordz Ahgod (1-0)

Oz? wtf? doesn't he mod over ast Rapmusic? eh.. I don't know. Don't like either of these guys much so I'm just going to say toss up. Surprise me. When I click to vote.. make me glad I did.

27. Erel Avent (7-2) vs 28. DaTrusHurtz (4-0)

Putting me and Erel's beef to the side, I got to say that he's going to win this battle probably because he's more experienced. Datrus is a good battler, but if Erel comes correct, I don't see Trus winning this. I say Erel to win in a pretty good battle.

29. Yung Impression (2-1) vs 30. Original (2-1)

Original doesn't come too original for my liking.. Yung needs to step his game up cause I know he's got it in him some where. He has nice punches sometimes and needs to show us what he's really capable of.. I'ma say Yung here.

Something has got to give for one of these battlers. Loss after loss for Kon.. I think he's gone break through in this battle so I'm going for him, plus I don't know Nbro. I say Kontroverzy to win.

If this is the Meters from RB then I'm going to go with Meters. If it isn't, I'm going to still go for Meters just because I feel his shit more than Jae's.

GKilla? lmfao sorry but that name's got to go man. I don't know what to think of you. Anyways, I know COM's capable of beating any nice battler on a good day. I say COM.

Don't know any of the two.. so I'm going to just toss this up.

Don't know either of you once again.. I'm going to say Rae just because I've seen him in the league before.

I'ma say Faime because he's always in the cypher posting and shit. I haven't seen any of Capital B's shit so for that reason I'm going to say Faime to win the battle.

Not sure about imaginasian because I don't know him. I've seen some of Binary's shit so I'm going to go with him because I've seen him around.

I'm going to say Hell Yeah because I've seen him in the league.. otherwise I'm not sure and I'll say toss up.

10. COM - Yeah, COM from RB. Dude's nice when he wants to me. He's just got to find time for the league and get his head right that's all. Look out for COM.

9. Erel Avent - We've had our beef but beef aside.. he's a nice battler.. He no showed against me when we could've had a nice battle.. I mean, c'mon nigga.. you could've showed even if you were gone lose. And you took a hammering from Shake. Getcha weight up, bruh.

8. Brock Sampson - I like dudes style.. it's unique to me. He's got an easy match this week that he should win. If he doesn't it will surprise me.. I see him in the top ten section next week though.

7. Sonny Dimebags - Yeah, dude took a HARD loss to butler lol, but he can come back. I saw him drop a hot verse, so he's still got a chance unless Marcus ruins it this week. Make it happen nigga.

6. Mercules - The werewolf nigga haha. Allah said dude is cool one week and eh another week. We'll see what comes out against Spul. It will determine whether or not he wins.

5. Spul - Ex KORV champ or w/e. Yeah, it's been said so I won't eleborate on him. He's got Merc this week and will need to come pretty hard to beat him. But, Spul's up there amongst them greats so I couldn't leave him out.

4. JTR - Showed pretty dope last week in the July event. He's got champion material written all over him. He's just so fucking inconsistent. That's what fucks him up. He'll be in the champ match soon.. if he stays consistent.

3. Shake-Zula - Dude's a monster when he wants to be. Shake's a tough person to face. He completely destroyed Erel Avent last week and if he continues with his brutal assault, we could have a new champion in the next couple weeks or so. Watch out for this nigga.

2. SlicKnife - He's in the champ match.. he's did his thing to get this far and he's got a pretty tough man to face this week. But he's got a shot at glory.

1. Butler - He's the champ. And he's a damn good one. I think he's already held the title the longest and he just continues to knock heads. He won't lose this week as far as I see it. He's on a roll and it does not look like he's going to be stopped anytime soon.

So in conclusion I've enjoyed writing this magazine. I mean, it as my first time and it took me FOREVER. But I guess it's something that you just have to get used to. But yeah, I feel like Matt needed a load lifted off of his shoulders, so I gave him a break. Real Talk though guys, keep posting verses, keep showing, encourage sign ins, all that.
