Carrying my pencil, I walk into the gym The air is cold, and the lighting very dim Two hundred desks, arranged into ten rows Nine thirty, and behind me the gym doors close My mind starts to race, looking for my spot The crisp air has suddenly turn extremely hot Beads of sweat start dripping down my forehead I dread the test ahead, wishing I was home instead But this determines my entire future, my college I’ve studied for days, trying to up my entire knowledge The teacher says to begin, and I turn over the page And engage into this exams first crucial stage Already confused, can’t even spell my name correct I’ve got to collect myself, my minds completely wrecked I fill out all the information, and look at the first question I have no idea what it’s asking, my minds under compression I skip the first one, and move onto the next They’ve made the wording much to complex It sends me into a state of confusion, and I can’t get away I’m trapped by this confusion, and my brains sent into dismay In my mind, winds swirl and information flies around And I’m not sure where it ends up; it’ll never to be found I’ve moved from the first question to the last And my sheet is blank, with half the time passed So I begin to guess, A-B-C-C-D for the rest of the test My minds messed, and I’ve begun feeling utterly depressed Hand my test in and walk head down beyond the gyms door When my mind soars, and I know things I didn’t know before The questions on the test, suddenly the answers rush to my mind And I’m no longer blind; all the answers are free and not confined But it’s to late now; I was completely trapped inside the gym I was in a confused state, and because of that my future is grim |
