Okay so I popped a dvd-rom in my dvd drive of my computer and got this message that says basically that "windows can't play the dvd because a compatible decoder is not installed" on my computer.

I have windows media player 10 right now, my dvds won't play for that nor my realplayer... Tried to get wmp 11, that ish didn't work. I tried to download some dvd decoders for the one I have and nan one of them work. Genuises, give me some tips or a solution would be nice.

Whats probably going on is that you don't original decoder for DVD's that Windows installs that you can't download. If you got a friend to burn an .iso file of the file though, it might work (it's called dvd000458, just search for it) However, your TCP/IP settings would have to be disabled in order to use the .iso file or else Windows would use their anti-sharing jootness and splash you in the face with nuclear pistachio. Now if you install that decoder you'd need 4 or 5 drivers, those would be prompted though and you'd end up looking dumb for actually listening to me because I don't know wtf I'm talking about.

you most likely dont have the right codec that you need in order to play whatever video you wanna play

yea i was gonna say that if the codecs didnt work for her

that player basically plays everything

and teamone the full best version of powerdvd isnt free, so i was goin with the free route :-\, ofcourse theres a crack for it but if she cant figure out this i doubt she would figure out the crack part lol

you can opt to either method, serial number, or replacing the original .exe with a cracked one

yup. you get what you pay for b. buy a cheap computer and be prepared to live with problems.
