well id say the pieces alone are quite plain
you need more effects on both the photo and the background and make the text bigger A LOT bigger you got a lot of room to use up so make sure thats what you do on a good note the cut on the photos look pretty good, at least from what i can tell...

Yeah, If I were you I'd do some brushing or some effect, and blending just do more work to it becuase it is kind of plain right now, but like tizzle said the cuts are good

Yeah.....top one would get my vote. I think it blends best with the BG.....also, for a desktop, I think they are pretty well layed out. You wouldn't want the text taking up too much room and being in the bottom right corner helps cause no one ever puts any icons there, so people would always read what it said. Not mad man.....not bad
