I can't compare it to Illmatic because I never heard the whole Illmatic. I'm basing it off everything that came after it. And like I said, Jay's shit has been garbage for a while now. So that means Nas is still better. But I personally was not feeling any part of God's Son besides the three tracks I said. Being that I was a fan before God's Son, I'm still gonna check out Street's Disciple even if I don't pay for it.

"i can" doesn't get much more comercial. the eminem joint along with several others. yes the lead single took it to the streets, but the rest...i don't really know man. illmatic was all street, it was raw hip hop with a raw emcee that ripped up tracks.

yeah, but if you want to make A LOT of money in this business you have to adress your audience and cater towards them, and this is what Nas has been trying to do every since Illmatic. He has had some success with it but not near the amount that Jay-Z has found. I don't think Nas is the type of rapper that will ever obtain that success. He just needs to stick to what he does best and keep it that way.
