Good Books.

IP: 1F65 AB2C

Im half way thru this Power Reading course, teaching me to read faster but with better understanding of what Im reading.

Id like to jus bomb thru some books, I start college in a couple months an probably havent read anything useful since Grade.12, which is 3 years.

I need some books to read, get my brain working smoothly again. Story boooks, philosophy books, conspiracy books.. all that shit interests me.

Last book I read was Farenheit 451, which is sort of a cultish/conspiracy book an I love readin that shit.

I know a lot of you are in highschool an thas where you read some dope books, specially if you got an interesting english teacher.

So gimme somethin good to read.

America (The Book)
- Jon Stewart

^^Funny shit.. for real.

It's dope.

The Da Vinci Code, Angels And Demons..
If you're up to the read.. War And Peace.

All dope books.

Farenheight 451 sucked though. They burn books and it's all in the future and stuff. Their TVs fill up a whole wall in their house, lol. I read it last year.

^The same one with the Teacher, that slowly turns the school into a cultish resemblence of Nazi-ism?

I thought that was good read, seeing how easy it is to minipulate young minds.

Yeah, it's a long ass book. The first 500-750 pages are boring as shit, but it picks up.

Definately read the other books though. Those books are ill.

The Da Vinci Code and Angels And Demons are great.

Also, I don't really know if you like history or any of that shit, but if you do 1776 is a dope book.. so is 1421: The Year China Discovered America. <-- I'm not sure if that is the exact name, but i know the "The Year China Disovered America" part is right.. I'm just not sure about the year.

If you aren't interested in history, then whatever.. I'll post up some more good books in a little bit.

*Beats OMB to it*

Bushido: The Warrior's Code by Inazo Nitobe
On the Warrior's Path by Daniele Bolelli
The Book of Five Rings by Miyamoto Musashi
I'd say The Art of War by Sun Tzu also, but at times that book requires so much critical thinking in order to apply it to everyday life, that it can come of as invalid in some points.

Also, be careful with these books. They may change your beliefs and have you living by a new way of life...which will cause your Christian mother to look down upon you as "practicing the wrong religion". Trust me, I know lol.

For books that weren't written 2,000 years ago, American God's by Neil Gaiman is an extremely good book... Shit is insane... Also, try like the Ender's Game series (if you haven't already), those books are really good... The Hobbit is a good book, especially compared to The Lord of the Rings trilogy, it just has a lot more action... Plus, Harry Potter rules

read frankenstein by mary shelley-if u read into it, that book was revolutionary

streetcar named desire by tenesee williams -theres a lot of imagery and symbolism in there

As you like it by shakespeare- makes a joke about everything at the whole worlds expense

the catcher in the rye by J.D Salinger-im reading it now and it is amazing, a whole lot of imagery, figurative stuff, if ur at a transitional period in ur life this is definitely the book to read, it has humour in it as well.

all of the books mentioned above have hidden meanings and need to be interpreted, dont take anything thats written as literal or else u wont enjoy the books as much.
