yea well this is how i cut....use the regular lasso tool not the polygonal cuttin, but the regular. and hold alt and it'll be the polygonal but u can make the cuts as close as u want with the regular lasso tool, the space is limited dats how i do it...

I use the regular lasso zoomed in almost all the way.. Takes a little bit but it gets done.
