How can it be
in the land of the free
that these industries
are costin you n me
every penny
I've seen so many
spendin that cash but yet they haven't got any
to blinded
lookin for that silver linin
n just like the climate the prices keep on climbin
as corporations are dinin
on feast
we feed to the beast
we pray to be released
but still there's no relief
from this institution
there aint no easy solution
but still we need resolution
cause they're darkenin our skies with their pollution
n cloudin up our eyes with their illusions
tryin to loose us in the confusion
hopin we aint got the mind to see what they're doin
cause it's us that they're screwin
with their economic ruin
claimin it's all under control
but how deep can that rabbit hole really go
cause the bones that they throw
aint enough to pay what I owe
they say it's easy come easy go
but I wouldn't know
cause I slave away every day
just to afford what they throw away
and it's not okay
not even a bit
