Well, last week was okay. On the down side, there were a lot of no-shows so that was discouraging. On the positive side, most of those no-shows were from the bottom members of the league. Also, lots of new sign ins came in this week. It seems word is finally starting to spread about this league and its starting to grow so that’s excellent. Here’s what went down last week.

Probably the best battle in this round. Both came pretty hard, only a few played concepts. DaTrusHurtz wins this battle in a sweep out. I honestly thought this was going to be a closer battle..

3. Ancel (3-1) vs. 4. Alphabetized (2-0)

Pretty nice battle.. both came pretty nice. Both also need a little work too. Alphabetized won this one. Good shit.. quoteables were sick also. Definately a runner up for verse of the week maybe.

5. §howcase (5-1) vs. 6. Bobericc_Lyrics (3-1)

Showcase didnt come as hard as I wouldve thought. Neither did Bob, maybe it was just the Gimmick this week. Well this was a nice battle. A lot of quoteables. Showcase won this one, 4-0.

7. Prycele$$ (2-1) vs. 8. Trey MethodZ (1-1)

This battle was iight. Trey came simple, but effective. Prycele$$ had some effective shit too. This was a close battle in my view. Trey won, 3-1.

9. Wireless (3-3) vs. 10. Popcorn (1-1)

Wireless won. Popcorn no showed. SMH @ Popcorn.

11. i.e. hypocrisy (1-1) vs. 12. tiggobitties (1-1)

Tiggo won. I.E no showed. SMH @ I.E Hypocrisy

13. M The Literal (1-1) vs. 14. Civilized Gangsta (0-1)

15. GC (1-2) vs. 16. Out Writechas (0-0)

Finally.. another battle without a no show. Weak battle though, sadly. Both need elevation. Sonny got all the votes except for one. Sonny won the battle. SMH @ Tebo for not voting.

21. Axeshun (0-0) vs. 22. Native Pryde (0-0)

Axeshun won. Native Pryde no showed. SMH @ Native Pryde.

Do your research! Seriously, a lot of punches will come really easily if you just do 5-10 minutes of research. Its March Madness Battles this week. Check out the team your supposed to diss. Look at their roster, teams they’ve lost to, the low points in their season, and use those to create witty wordplay.

10. Prycele$$ (2-2) – Can drop some creative stuff, but has more of an audio style. Once he gets his style straightened out, he should be a threat here.
9. Wireless (3-3) – Another kid with potential, but needs to try harder on his verses and stop taking the easy way out. Once he does that, he’ll win more consistently.
8. Trey MethodZ (2-1) – I felt obligated to put him in because he’s in the contendership match. Can drop okay, but needs to up his creativity to be a threat in the league.
7. Bobericc_Lyrics (3-2) – Bob just needs to fix his wording. He’s got the ideas and the potential. Once he learns to properly execute wordplay, he’ll be a fierce competitor.
6. Sonny Dimebags (1-0) – Sonny can drop nice, he always has a few really tight bars, but is inconsistent. If he fixes that he can be a title contendor.
5. Ancel (3-2) – Still not dropping as good as he has in the past, but should improve over time. Has a tough challenge this week with Tony Brown.
4. Tony Brown (5-2) – His only losses have been to me. Been dropping consistent, just needs to step it up a notch to get the title.

This is the first time we’ve ever faced as I quit the RB scene when Alpha was joining it. I’m a walking sports encyclopedia so Alpha, bring ur A game  - GL

3. §howcase (6-1) vs. 4. Trey MethodZ (2-1)

§howcase’s wins are mostly from no-shows, but most of those battles he would have won anyway. He’s been dropping more consistent than Trey so I got §howcase here.

5. Wireless (4-3) vs. 6. tiggobitties (2-1)

Wireless is better, but he really hasn’t been trying hard enough for battles in this league. Still, I got Wireless winning this.

7. Civilized Gangsta (1-1) vs. 8. Dao (1-0)

Both got their only win by no-show. Haven’t seen enough from either to make a good prediction so I’m going to guess and say Dao.

9. Tony Brown (5-2) vs. 10. Ancel (3-2)

Tony’s been doing well in the league with his only 2 losses coming to yours truly. Ancel can drop nice but has struggled to regain his form. Could go either way, but I got Tony here.

11. Sonny Dimebags (1-0) vs. 12. Bobericc_Lyrics (3-2)

Personally, I think Sonny is better than Bob, but a lot of Bob’s friends from RB are in this league and could potentially be more inclined to vote for Bob just because they know him. Sonny’s really into b-ball tho so I think he’ll think of some nice stuff for this battle and win.

13. Axeshun (1-0) vs. 14. Uncil Phil (2-1)

Uncil Phil is nice, when he shows and tries. He signed in at the beginning of the week so I’m hoping he remembers about this. I’ll try to contact him, but am going to guess that he doesn’t show and Axeshun wins.

15. Prosecuter (3-2) vs. 16. Prycele$$ (2-2)

Prosecuter is okay, but has struggled to really reach that next level. Prycele$$ usually drops a few dope lines, but is inconsistent. I’ll go with Prycele$$ in this one.

17. Popcorn (1-2) vs. 18. GC (1-3)

Both no-showed last week, but should show this week so I decided to keep them in and pit them against each other. Really will come down to who gives more of a shit about the battle, but I’ll go with Popcorn.

19. Out Writechas (0-1) vs. 20. Tebo (0-1)

Out no-showed last week, but told me he’d show this week so I gave him another shot because he’s a good battler. Tebo is still elevating, he has potential, but isn’t as polished as Out so I’m going with him.

21. Grams (0-0) vs. 22. DiZzy (0-0)

I haven’t seen anything from DiZzy so I have no idea if he’s a newbie or someone with experience who I haven’t heard of. Grams is inconsistent, but usually has some cool lines so I’m going with him.

23. Professor (0-0) vs. 24. Titan (0-0)

Professor is okay, but still young and needs a few more years to reach the level he wants to be at. I don’t know who Titan is so I can’t really predict how he’ll do. I’ll go with Professor.

25. Ventice (0-0) vs. 26. Zelph (0-0)

I haven’t really seen anything from either person so I have no idea. My crystal ball is pointing towards Zelph.

This week will be good as long as the number of no-shows is going down. I’m starting to recruit and market for this shit more and it seems its paying off.
