I sit in the bathroom, contemplating thoughts
Coming to the realization that life is all but lost
I foster such rage inside; it skews my emotions
Deep down my heart is frozen, so I make it bleed
One innocent slice of the wrist quickly turns to four
Within a few minutes, I’m face down on the floor
No matter how hard I try, I can’t hold back the tears
They flow as steady as the streams from my wrist
Which release all the distain for myself I hold inside
I’m trapped in this body, with no place left to hide
My mind is nostalgic, cutting isn’t lessening the pain
I’ve got to ease the tension that is eating away at me
Nothing else seems to work; so I just let it bleed…

Look at me again.
What do you see?
I will never be good enough.

I do what it takes to hide the habit from my friends
They’re blinded by the smile I force upon the world
Life is great, at least that’s the message I convey
Little do they know that deep down I bleed every day
Open the mirror and grab the blade, it’s become routine
Slice after slice, the tension begins to steadily ease
But I feel the physical effect, as I fall to my knees
I’m not sure how much more my body or mind can take
As I stick the razor back on the shelf for safe keeping
I ask myself, "When did my life take a turn for the worse?"
Have I stooped so low, that I only feel joy through hurt?
I’m no longer living; now I’m just waiting for the end
Will death come knocking today?…maybe tonight?

Take one last picture.
Make sure it’s black and white.
I no longer see the color of happiness.

Take a seat in the back, and prepare for the show
Because I’m ready for the end, so let the credits roll
My life is nothing more than a Shakespearian tragedy
With the hecklers in the front row yelling bleed, bitch bleed!
No one obviously cared enough to stop the hands of fate
So I’m fulfilling my destiny, one I have chosen to narrate
Don’t feel sorry for me, or look back and shed a forced fear
'Cause I was once like you, before blackness overtook my soul
I now understand what I need to do, it’s as clear as my mind
Roll the end credits, as I go back for another round with the blaze
The last profound cut will stop the darkness from flowing inside
Behind my phony smile, I will no longer have to hide

The screen goes black as they continue to scream…
