It's funny how you think it's easier to go on the run/
Than to stick around, check in, and support your son/
Disappearing act, Mom say's your name is William, I call you Houdini/
I'm better off though, you wouldn't even know me if you seen me/
Nothing like you, and I hope I never will be/
Cause if I ever ditched out that like, it would probably kill me/
What's more, you never showed no remorse/
No support/
So my heart holds no love for you of course/
My only hope is that when you look back you see/
That I shouldn't have been missing you, you should have been missing me/
Opportunities gone, and you can never get it back/
It breaks my heart that you could live with something like that/
Sometimes I feel your influence, but I run away from it/
You taught me that, you were always good at running away from something/
Marriage, Kids, whatever it was/
Your the reason I write things like "Where Is The Love?"/
How? Why? Could you every leave my moms hung out to dry like that?/
Remember that one time you came back? And our love, you tried to buy it right back?/
But it doesn't work like that/
Maybe it was then you seen what you really lost/
And maybe then you seen the price you paid and what it really cost..../

TO MY MOMS!

My moms is a perfect rose, nobody knows/
The dreams and hopes she had to put on hold/
To help me/
Grow up strong and healthy/
But instead, I grew up wrong and mouthy/
It isn't her fault, there some things she can't help/
And I have to take full responsibility for myself/
I couldn't real it real with you Mom, and I was always buggin'/
It probably had something to do with growing up without your husband/
Too much love, not enough discipline/
Didn't really want to, but I sometimes found myself missing him/
Hated my stepfather, couldn't stand when you were kissing him/
But he's out of the picture now, so need to waste time dissing him/
I'm happy your happy and you know how to live again/
Your the light of my life, and even though I've never told you/
Let me be the strong one now, it's MY turn to hold YOU/
Cause you been holdin' me up, I know you loved your son/
And I think I'ma be a good parent, cause you showed me how to be one/
