Rain is a poor excuse. Your explanation was terrible.

The poem is best without an explanation, & the last two lines were boring and bland. I tried to piece it all together but it was kinda meh at the end. Sorry.

However I'm sure this qualifies as a shortly above average poem, depending on your creative writing class, afterall, people have taste for even the shortest and quickest poems. This was short, yet medium to slow.

Oh, and you had absolutely no tone.

lol it's cool to me. This is my first poem, I don't expect to be shakespeare after my first attempt at a poem.

If your college professors weren't lying then they should have told you that poetry is subjective and with or without a point, the professor is to decide what he or she truly expects from the poetry. Some expect a large vocabulary with almost no sense behind the words.

With that said, poetry is subjective, and that makes every reader's opinion viable, while at the same time, every poem is also good.

so yeah, shit is good, good is good, bad is good, complex is good, up, down, satan, god, black, white, is all good, in Poetry.

lol, i've learned much much more out of school than i ever did while attending school

School was just one of those places that gave you idea's to take to the next level. Like complex ideas, that you dont really ever ask yourself.

If anything, college is an experience. One that allows you to find who you are goign to be.
