^^^i checked them out. they're not bad at all. you're right, their sound is pretty similar to the clipse/pharrel style, but they have their own swag. i only heard a few of their tracks, but i was pleased with what i did listen to. i'll keep an eye out for future work by them.

jump...so what all do you know about dudes???

^ i just know they're from Chicago... and everybody always tries to put them in a group with The Pack and all the rest of those "nerd skater" style rappers and they're like nahh fuck that we don't do them, we do us... and they were talking about their "throwback" style, and they were like "we aint even tryng to do it like a fashion statement, i've just always liked wearing old shit. we don't go shopping in stores, ever... we just find shit."

lol, they're def one of my fav. groups right now.

^^^please tell me that you are joking my friend.

im a die-hard cali boy to the fullest degree...and i dont slap any of the packs shit at all. the shit that i have heard from them is pure rubbish...but thats just my "biased" opinion. however, i know alot of cali folks (from the bay, the valley, the l.a. area etc.). and none of them slap the pack intentionally. shit gets a little radio play out here...but i've never known anyone thats owned their cd. the hardcore hip hop heads out here dont fuck with 'em. i hit alot of house parties...and i never hear the pack getting play...unless the host is playing fm radio and them getting play is still kind of rare. long story short, the california that i live in doesnt really feel these dudes. im sure that some circles in oaktown might show these dudes love, which is cool i guess...supportin' local talent and all...but really, they get no love from the street(s). im pretty sure that the high school kids (freshmen girls) pumpin' up soulja boys unit sales help aide these bastards on...but besides that, they're 14 seconds into their 15 seconds of fame. i'd love to be proved wrong and have some real cali artists make an impact on a national/global level...but these dudes??? i dont think that they have what it takes in the long or short run to do that, word. no hate intended...this is just an observation on my behalf playboy.

oner...
