DEDICATION TO MOM (ON MOTHER’S DAY)

Eat cake glow at feasts like the state police stay on alert
No other way to play on mother’s day so hard she worked
To raise me, love tunes and vibes and my room alive with books
My teachers assigned homework made my dome perk stuff cooks
The brains, but mommy helped sometime with a belt or peach tree
Switch just to teach me which way is up, like Stacy Keach I be
Playing cowboy in class shoot them up bang bang so my grades
Weren’t great play spades on class breaks, like a bunch of grenades
Ready to blow up and destroy thing a boy who clings to the unreal
Education wasn’t my priority faced devastation as a minority the deal
With my report card I was flunking and punking around so I tried
To hide it from mom, she knew when I wasn’t true I flat out lied
Somehow she’ll find out and discipline me, my wrong plan wouldn’t stand
Had dog that can stand on two feet and beg and somehow bow wow demand
Bread from the kitchen my head was itching with Duke hair cream
Trying to get waves and wet the craves of girls so I had game extreme
But bad aim it seem, mom taught me about life and made my route
Nice soothe the humps and smooth the bumps a rough road no doubt
Couldn’t afford school lunch it was cool to munch on peanut butter
And jelly sandwiches from a packed bag as the facts drag on cats utter
About my home bringing, had galore chores after school then homework
Without mom would’ve failed divine and done jail time been alone and unalert
As an unknown jerk but mother stood up gave me good luck learned to duck dirt
So let me say thanks mom for being true and seeing me through I love you
