sorry i couldnt get in here in time DQ. had a major tournament on another site and im in the semifinals. had a show last night. it was either use the time to write for my tourny piece or this one...sorry.

early morning sunshine pierces
the gasps as the frozen interior
of the apartment cages us…
shivering in fear of
being found out by her mother,
i rest my eyes and hope that covers
do just that if she enters the room.
the knock comes, but not on the door…
her hand falls from the bed and
awakens the rest of her as
it spills her midnight snack
of milk and cookies.
her bloodshot eyes turn to mine
and we connect on more
levels than just one.
