u dont install a mic. there are no drivers for mics. you just plug it in and it should work. What kind of mic do you have and what sound card?

its sum cheap arse mic coz we jus wanted to get started kwik.......fuk knows wot sound card.....that helps huh.....but where could i find the mic in my control panel etc?

the mic wouldnt show up in your control panel. there is absolutely no way for the computer to know if u have a mic plugged in. The mic should work instantly when u plug it in. Check volume control to see if the mic volume is up.

are u sure u have the mic in the right hole? u should try both empty holes. if that doesnt work then something is wrong with your sound card or sound drivers. this has been known to happen especially on laptops.

check both wholes...one should have a pic of a mic on it i think....and check ur volume controls....theres no way u have to install ur mic..it should just plug in...and then u go to a place were want to use audio...n u should just be able to record..or talk into it...just use commin sense when u use things like this...ull have to figure it out...cuz all u should have to do is plug it in and go anywere u can use audio..and it should work..if it doesnt...ur mics fucked up..or ur computer needs help
