Well, the mic is decent. I only know cause it's a name I've heard before. I haven't used it personally and to be honest Apexx would be the best to answer this question, but one thing you should know is that you will probably need some phantom power to go along with that mic. Notice the preamp that people are buying with it. It costs an additional $45.00. Just something to think about

^I'm not the expert in this area. But if you're looking for something that can plug straight into the computer, then you should look at the Samson CO1U. It's a condenser mic that plugs straight into your USB. It will cost you up around $100 I think. Good luck man.

I found the mic a stand and some headphones because mine are horrible for 131 is that a bad price? the mic itsself was 79

yo the 990 is a good starter mic. especially if you have a manly voice and not a girly one. you can get a lot of good-enough sound out of it once you learn how to EQ.
learn to EQ. I had a shitty radiohack mic when i first started too and nobody ever guessed it was one, they all thought it was something way more upmarket.

you're gonna like either one, they're pretty much in the same class. might be able to milk the samson for a little more, but that's only if you EQ.
