That structure doesnt matter to some extent? A post on another forum led me to ask this.

Quote:
ok look i dunno about all this structure crap yall need to write out ya favorite tracks then look at em there is little to no structure. this whole internet battling thing has gotten so that people think shit has to be written a certain way to be good but then all the shit ends up the same .... lines do not hafto match length, there does not hafto be plays on words and all that other crap all it has to be is entertaining .....

Look on another webpage such as az lyrics if you want to look. But its true.

structure needs variation.

for example, people think that hitting the snare everytime is good, but its not really, its robotic and boring... changing the structure up is best, it adds variation to flow and gives ur ears a more exciting listen, landing on the snare now n then is good, but try changing it up landing between bars, just before/just after the snare e.t.c it all add's to a more varied and enjoyable structure

structure still counts in audio, infact more in audio than text, cos how u strcture ur verse around the beat determines how well it flow and how much variation there is in ur flow and how predictable it is/isnt

If you're talking about text, don't add in gay ass ~"!!"!"!"@!!!@@!??!~"~ and shit, because that's gay. If you're talking about audio, refer to leady's post.
